Requiem for a dream

Legendary film, that set off a chain reaction of rip offs that never quite hit the mark. The soundtrack alone deserves a award, although I think it is actually a piece of old classical music.

On a completely different vibe I'd like to throw Marley and Me into the list, Cheesy and predictable film. But its delivery was almost flawless, and even made you think that Jennifer Aniston was a serious actor (Only for a split second though). Other half dragged me to go and see it, biggest surprise of my film watching career.

The Godfather. Both pt 1 & 2. Part 3 good. Not been able to sit through it in its entirety.

I'd like to throw Marley and Me into the list, Cheesy and predictable film.

I watched half of it, and in the end decided not to carry on. Strangely enough, it was like watching the Brothers Grim movie with Matt Damon.

I have a serious disposition about watching movies that has kids and animals in it and its serious movie where they end up being hurt etc. or sometimes even the possibility thereof (like train spotting for instance). A few other movies I could not watch was In the pursuit of happyness, and The passion of the Christ.

On the other side of the spectrum though, I tend to like movies based on mythology. Maybe its just my backward love of mythology, but I have loved a lot of movies that have come out along that line. 300, Troy, Clash of the Titans (cheesy, but good even if it strayed), and King Arthur (The Celts were a huge fav).

Thanks,

My favorite film is the Simpsons movie as I like the movie.

I have always sited The Shining as one of my all time favourites. I think Jack was the perfect actor for the part. I am not so keen on his films where he plays a nice guy, as I think he suits the menacing psycho parts.

I caught a small scene of The Shining on Friday night, when his wife dared to enter the room where he was typing. She was trying to offer some encouragement to his writing. His reaction reminded me that this film is a timeless classic.
