2. Sherlock Holmes Series

I agree, if you are referring to Jeremy Brett as Sherlock (the only one for me).

Drive really stuck with me. Gorgeously shot and sound tracked. Great, understated performances by fantastic actors. Not for the faint of heart however! Highly recommended.

Re watched American Psycho recently. Great Performance from Christian Bale.

And if you're looking something light, The Three Amigos is very funny.

Any movie that Steve Martin is in is usually excellent. Favourites include The Jerk, The Man with two Brains, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is excellent, haven't seen it in years, will have to fix that asap.

I always give Three Amigos a plug as it seems to be one people don't know as well. And with Chevy Chase and Martin Short in tow, it really deserves more of a look in.

The Man With 2 Brains

A friend and I were discussing a film I totally forgot about that definitely deserves a mention here, Bad Lieutenant. The Herzog/Nic Cage remake.

One of those rare occasions when the fact that Cage is a great actor really comes through. Plus it's by Werner Herzog so it's completely bonkers.

I just watched 'The Breakfast Club' for the first time... very good!

Also if you haven't seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, you must!

Those are two classics but how about 'Chopper'? Eric Bana plays notorious Australian criminal, Mark 'Chopper' Read. Gripping and dark with subtle hint of humour. Lovely!
