Hi everyone,

I'm curious how other small businesses here handle hiring people based abroad.

We've been looking into hiring internationally, particularly in countries like Spain and the Philippines, but setting up a company in another country seems like a real expense, especially when you're only hiring one or two people.

I've been researching employer of record services and came across Globalization Partners, which helps businesses hire employees abroad but I don't have any experience with employer of record. It seems like a practical option for smaller businesses that want to expand their teams without dealing with company registration in every country.

Has anyone here used G-P or another EOR provider? I'd be interested to hear about your experience, particularly the costs, how long the hiring process took, and whether there were any unexpected challenges.

Following up with customers after they've made a purchase or used your service is important. Even a quick message asking how things went can help build trust and show that you care about their experience.

I'd also pay attention to why customers stop coming back. Sometimes it's something small like slow responses or inconsistent service. Fixing those issues can have a bigger impact than offering discounts all the time. Keeping things simple and consistent is usually a good starting point for small businesses.

I think a mix of both works best. Online training is useful for covering the basics and makes refresher courses easier to manage, especially when supervisors have different schedules. But classroom or practical training is better when people need to deal with real workplace situations, assess risks, or respond to incidents.

For refresher training, it depends on the risks involved and whether procedures have changed. Regular short sessions can be more useful than repeating the same full course every year.
