What exactly do you mean by "it's happening"? Google+ doesn't seem to be gaining too much ground, or if it is it's not very noticeable. Of course, that's comparing it to Facebook which has had a lot of years to establish and stabilize.
The new layout definitely works better and is far less fumbly to handle. It's exactly like simply clicking on drop down lists one at a time and that's cool.

Valid points, but the capitalization of the difference points wasn't really necessary to emphasize the point. A logo is indeed very important and crucial to a business' success, and without one, your brand is pretty much a sinking ship.
