but it does tread an ethical tightrope, as you are canvassing on a large scale to generate reviews, with the carrot of a gucci potential prize.

Interesting you would say that Steve, is that not the case with most competitions that there is a carrot to gain some commercial outcome, or do you mean that the issue of someone giving a good review because of the the Ipad is a little bit borderline?

Just wondered about the judging who wins, clearly I would like positive reviews but can I say in the rules if it's not positive you will not be entered into the draw?

Also don't want to come unstuck with people claiming hundreds of ipads when there is only one on offer.

The title of the thread should have done it's job!

Looking for some feedback, advice and thoughts.

I am thinking about running a competition for one lucky person to win an Ipad 2 - and all they have to do in return for a chance to win the Ipad 2 is download a free trial of a PDF Software product I sell, try it and write a positive (hopefully) review on the software, place that review on a blog, facebook or any social media type and send me a link to it on a pdf they have printed using my free trial software, I will request that 2 keyword terms be used in there review and a url back to the site.

And I will pick the winner by choosing the best review.

What our your thoughts and what are the potential pitfalls?

Thanks Steve for the info - (link above not working though)

So this company has ratings from checkatrade.com any ideas if Google links the automatically or do I need to do something on the companies behalf?

I looking for help on how to optimize a Google place position, there appears to be a few simple rules which I have tried to follow but nothing yet.

Only listed the company Monday this week though - any help would be welcomed.

Great news - congrats to the whole family!
The PC bubble has peaked, so your market will actually start to decrease as we all gradually start to move to mobile or tablet/touchscreen devices.

Funny you say that Steve, I was in my local pc world for the first time in ages on Saturday and it was like a ghost town, have not been to one in a year or so and back then I would have to wait 5 or 10 mins for a rep to see me, said to the guy on the till what's the story and he reply "hot weather keeping people away" , I said to him perhaps it's because apple and others are doing away with the need for a personal pc.

And for the record i was only there to see if they had an ipad2.

Made think if I had shares in curries I would offload!

Have good one Steve (only about one and half hours left)
I would like to know which is the main factor in terms of SEO?

Choosing keywords people actually search for.
