Hi All
I am looking for some advice I have been asked to invest within a small company who are very local to me and I am wondering what sort of questions and information I should ask for before saying yes or no

Thanks,

Depends on much you already know and if it's new business or been going for a while?

- what's there business plan?
- what are they going to do with the money?
- do they have a unique concept that could potentially be copied?
- what's the short term to medium term strategy?
- what return do you expect on your investment / what percentage stake?
- is there more than one person involved in the business?
- has anybody else invested?

I could go on, but with so little info to go on it's hard to give you any decent advice.

You may go for it but confirm that is it reliable or not? To get detailed information i think you should contact with any legal advider because he will guide you much better than it.

All of the above plus

Have a clear idea of what you want and expect from the business and have clear written agreements that allow this to happen as far as is reasonably possible.
