A few members may have noticed the Startup Local logo at the top of the forum, so if you are wondering, we are supporting the Startup Britain initiative.
This is a privately funded non profit organisation that was launched by the Prime Minister last year, to try and generate growth and new business within the UK.
The Startup Local campaign idea is to bring Startup Britain to your local area by means of local "business champions". Maybe not the best term, but you get the idea.
I've been accepted as the Startup Local champion for Stratford Upon Avon, acting as a contact point for any local small or aspiring businesses. What I've found is that there isn't an easy mechanism for businesses to get in touch or ask questions. So I've directed questions here to the forum, as that's what we already do, and will invite other Startup Local Champions onto the forum, which should bring some an additional wealth of experience for the benefit of everyone.
