Must admit I had noticed in my local Morrisons that the self check out tills stated they did not accept the £2 coin. Thought it odd but as 90% of the time i pay on my credit card it doesnt affect me.

Was reading this report (MSN News)that states there are people using a foreign coin initially in the Midlands has become a wider problem so all self checkouts within the group have now been barred from taking the coin.

Looks like they are fixing the issue but how long has the coin been in circulation now and dont they test for these kind of issues?

Presumably the coin looks different but must weigh roughly the same, so if you take cash be aware!
