Well done. It's quite easy to get on Google Page 1 for unusual and/or unpopular search terms where there's not much competition but more tricky for things that are common and/or valuable and where there are a lot of people competing top get on page 1 for those search terms.

Unfortunately the vast majority of cold-callers are poorly prepared and their focus is very untargeted. They often sound useless as well. However, some cold-calling undoubtedly does work, so long as the caller has a product or service that is of value and is actually targeting somebody who may be in a position to have an interest in or be able to buy the product or service.

Also, if the caller has some common sense, isn't pushy and is polite and knowledgeable then I would always listen to seee if what he/she has is of any interest.

I think cold-calling can be a "numbers-game" though since undoubtedly some people would not listen for a moment. The advent of the automated calls is ridiculous as well - surely 99% of people hang up immediately. Why on earth would you want to pick up the phoen to an automated message!

Yes, not a bad list - a bit contrived to get it up to the "expected" 100 though!

Yes, the numbers weren't matching on my Google webmaster account either but like you say it is a pretty useful tool. Saved to my favourites now.

I was wondering how important is the Page Rank of the backlinks that you get to your site? I've read that you should look for high Page Rank on the backlinks you get but it seems like getting backlinks from good quality, relevant pages/sites is difficult enough and getting backlinks from high Page Ranked pages/sites is of course even trickier.

Has anyone got any good advice on this point? Much appreciated.

Looks like a pretty good tool but does it pick up all the backlinks or just a proportion of them?
