Belated congratulations and best wishes, Steve and family.
Wonder whether we could apply same approach to our MPs?
Sympathies ... these things make you sadder if not always wiser!

Is the tinyurl thing the same gizmo that sits in WordPress, asking whether you want the page address to be a "short link", plse? It sounds as if it is.

If you go through the recruitment agency route, you'll need to take into account keyword searches - if you apply directly to the employer you probably won't.

That said, if you're aproaching employers directly and they're large or work in IT it's obviously worth checking with them whether they use keyword searching software when sifting CVs. Ask politely and they'll probably tell you!
The "fear factor"'s probably had a greater economic impact to date than employed people's income reductions, in my view.

I feel "we ain't seen nothing yet".

I'm a little worried about this plan too.

I'd understood the term "careless driving" isn't well-defined so can be interpreted differently by different police officers.

Many people don't think long term and may make the mistake of preferring to pay an instant fine rather than get a second opinion from the court on whether they had actually committed a driving offence in the first place.

Suggest you talk to your local Tourism Office for starters, the staff there normally provide news sheets of everything that's going on locally (even the small events).

Good luck with the business.

[QUOTE=VirtuallyMary;4415]I suspect that it is of limited business value for their phone adviser to say to anyone "actually, your CV is looking pretty good, you probably don't need our services. Best of luck though." In fact I'll be surprised if they've ever told anyone that their CV wasn't awful.[QUOTE]

Being in the CV writing, interview coaching, job search support business myself, I tell people when they've got a good CV which I can only improve marginally, I also offer a limited amount of free advice to help them make it even better. I'm sure I'm not the only practitioner who takes this approach.

People remember when you play fair with them so being ethical is actually good for business!
