What Are You Listening To Now? 17th July 2012 10:09 AM
My favourite OMD one is electricity.... hmmm I don't think I ever left the 80's...

Quite like that one but my 2 OMD favs are Enola Gay and Genetic Engineering - im still stuck in the 80s too though if my ipod is anything to go by ...

The sound of my own voice, making a training video... lol I sound so boring.....

Aww Sami i bet you dont - tell you what is boring though, listening to Steve snuffle and whine about his "man flu"
Its Friday - takeaway, bottle of wine, relax and play games with the kids as its my weekend with them
Fuel Duty Frozen! 27th June 2012 3:00 PM
Delaying a tax rise is being 'sold' by the government as good news and I am sure that the gullible majority believe them!

What choice do we have - if they decided not to have suspend the increase what would you have done about it?

I have stated on many occasions im not political biased but as the Government has decided to defer this rise for the rest of the year i can only see that as a positive for me personally and im sure most families will do as hopefully costs of food will not increase as they have done each time the duty gets increased and transport companies have to pass this rise on.

I also said not so long ago that i do think our Duty on fuel is ridiculously high but unless i strike oil in my back garden im stuck paying over

Fuel Duty Frozen! 26th June 2012 5:15 PM
At last some good news for motorists

Just heard Fuel duty has been frozen for the rest of the year and the planned rise in August has been scrapped.

With the cost of living increasing month on month hopefully now things will calm down a bit, although in reality the 3p difference (4p if you add vat) only saves me around
I hate all Banks lol

Not one ive spoken to recently about either personal or business accounts have inspired me with confidence.

Wouldnt mind so much if you could get away without having to rely so much on the bank to pay all my household bills & receive my wages, we could digress to trusting them with cheques and then them paying those in to the wrong account even though the names where totally different grrr !

** off to make a coffee.. **

Oh just tried logging on to Natwest - to be shown SSL connection error - apparently thats bad? seems their troubles are deepening not getting better!
Business Cards? 20th June 2012 12:24 PM
Really depends on your business and what it is you want to achieve.

I had a card given to me by a carpet fitter which i still have stuck to my freezer so in his line of work it is going to help to generate return business.

Does that help?

The thing that I find odd with primary schools is the starting age. My friends son is born at the end of August, my daughter in Sept, 2 weeks apart but they will be in different school years or could be. What parent will keep their child out of school for a year and pay additional childcare costs! But will it effect his education as he is so much younger?

They have to draw the line somewhere i guess, if you did it by January to December you would still have the same argument.

I was one of the youngest in the school year and i always struggled - or was that 'coz i was just lazy
