For good driving fun this game is definately the best - It has to be the first or second bike with manual drifting for me - your right though, my kids quite often give me a whooping (not so long ago I use to let them win!) not any more..

Platform wise i still dont think you can beat Marioworold on the snes - you can actually get a retro version for the wii if you buy the controller - ok yes i have it

I used to also beat my lads on the games but alas im having to accept my reactions are slowing down and they are just getting too damn good, although i tell them im going easy, reality is they are better than me now still enjoy a good beat um up and driving games - used to love Forza on the X-box, but sadly my old xbox is no more - Got a PS3 & a wii - best driving game ive found on the PS3 is Grid but im bored of it now

always found alcohol and a fag went hand in hand - to overcome that i just use 2 glasses now

yep you'll get crabby but dont we all? - few more days and pockets brimming with cash you will soon crack the habit.

Best of luck - off to fill my own glass with an amber liquid & ice, may even make it 2 lol oh and some chocolate

Fuel Price - USA versus UK 1st March 2012 5:07 PM
if i remember correctly when oil hit $140 a barrel a couple years ago, pump price was about 1.20/ltr... now oil is around $100, yet pump price has reached 1.40/ltr where i am...

has refining cost gone up? which seems unlikely...

who's profiting from making the recession even worse?

Yep its a fair point.

I think many different bodies have tried and failed to a)reduce the ridiculous amount of duty we pay & b) put pressure on the big companies to reduce the cost. Problem with that is we all need fuel to get to work & they know that so someone stating we shouldnt fill up for a day may have a small impact but in reality we will just fill up the next day

I remember when i started driving - 4 star leaded petrol

Getting Paid... 29th February 2012 2:39 PM
May be worth looking in to some sort of Debt collection company that does the chasing for you in return for a % of the invoice - obviously you dont want the heavy mob being sent out for a small invoice but similarly why should they not pay on time?

You have a tough balancing act to juggle - I feel and have shared your pain !

Absolutely priceless

Had a similar experience myself when my father passed away - i TPS'd, MPS'd & Bereavement registered both his address and telephone number.

A few weeks later i received some spam post so i rang up a well known double glazing company & asked why they had written to him and then tried to call him.

Their answer - as he was on the Bereavement register but not yet MPS register they can contact him - when challenged to repeat the statement they put the phone down

I was so annoyed i rang head office & got them eventually to write a cheque directly to the Hospice where he passed away.

I love a good battle over bad customer service and when i win the Hospice do ok out of me too - normally donate at least 50% of my compensation
New Section For Complaints 1st February 2012 4:42 PM
Steve

What about starting a section outing bad customer service?

Had a problem recently with my Renault Laguna - had terrible service from Renault UK - i was even called a liar by a manger at Renault Birmingham - eventually i sold the car but carried on with my complaint - the moment they knew the car was gone they closed the complaint - oh ive not even started to vent how peeved i am ...... nor have they heard the last of it !

I will never buy another Renault car !

My father had a problem in 1986 with a new Ford Sierra, he vowed then never to buy another one - he bought around 10 new cars from various dealers up to the day he died, despite me trying to persuade him to look at the Mondeo, not one was from Ford. Fully intend to follow his example with Renault.
Can you believe it? 1st February 2012 12:16 PM
This is why I'd never drive in London, too many weird rules and over zealous traffic wardens

That will be why I drove us to Earls Court then
