I want one 22nd October 2010 12:49 PM
Just what i need while i cant walk very far - fill it with coffee & im happy - wonder if they do one that does away with having to walk to the bathroom lol
Some horrific stories on here - i cant believe that businesses can afford to throw away custom/customers with some very outdated views.

Simple customer service goes a long way these days.

For me - i recently purchased a sofa from a company - be wrong for me to name them - but if your parents sibling has children what relation are you to that offspring - anyway - had a few problesm with deliver times/dates - got through to all sorts of different people - eventually got through to the MD - oh yea i dont mess about - do you know what he threatend to do - take my sofa off the van & burn it!!!!!!!! - I nearly took him up on his offer but my fiancee convinced me that we wanted that sofa - shall not be going back to that store again - think peoples idea of customer service sometimes are lacking !!!!

Blimey - take a day off to go for a pre op assessment & you get slated!

Quite happy for Steve to count the loo rolls especially as he thinks he does everything else
Anyone know of ? 21st September 2010 9:11 AM
Same idea, slightly tweaked .... landlords, letting agents (inc estate agents) especially those catering for students and short-term lets?

Environmental Health Officers deal with property that tenants allege to be unfit for letting. While they have to be seen as impartial, would it be of any use to show them how you can sort out mould problems and enquire of them how you can best reach those landlords (in the locality) that may be faced with a mould problem at one time or another?

Again slightly tweaking - how about Insurance Assessors? Again they are front facing to problems & then refer back to Insurers with a plan or even using approved companies to start repairs or remedial action - may be worth trying to get involved with them
Hi

As an ex insurance broker your in the right area

Best advice is to use a local broker, they will ask you a bunch of questions and then go off & do the leg work for you, be careful they dont add too many fees though, you will probably get a Terms of Business letter listing these though.

Let me know how you get on
** Feels a rant coming on **

Like Steve said earlier in the post we got scammed a while back, we always take these kind of calls a lot more cynically now.

Personally i like to contribute directly to Mare Curie Nursing Home as my father passed away in their care & i urge everyone else to find a Charity of their own choice & contribute to it directly & not give in to these pressure sales calls that we all seem to get.

I dont doubt for one minute that some are legitmate & its a shame that these lose out to the idiots that are attempting to rip us off. What a pity we have to resort to these kind of posts to protect ourselves & potential Charities lose out
lol, how tempting is that...

Gota be worth a punt

Police crash a mans prized possession after stopping him drinking & driving - full story - BBC News - Hale police crash car seized from 'drink-driver'

Hmm not advocating for 1 second that i agree with drink driving but would he have crashed if they hadnt of stopped him? Perhaps not that night but statistics show probably at some point in the future he would have done but thats not my point.

How the hell can 2 officers lose control & crash through 2 gardens- were they trying out the performance of the car and if so what right do they have to do so? If they were Traffic Cops therefore trained to drive high performance cars how did it happen & if they were not Traffic officers why were they driving?

I watch a lot of these Police fly on the wall docu soaps & most of the trime the car is towed away, why wasnt this the case this time.

All I know is presumably the taxpayer now has to pay for the car to be repaired all because (im assuming) 2 officers of the Law where showboating
