Due to the Niche market that we trade in, it is hard to get good quality leads into Housing associations etc.
Black Mould Treatments do not have its own CPV codes and therefore it is very rare that contracts are advertised.
Any one got any leads into areas like MOD, (very hard to get into) local government (again we are in a few but it is a difficult area) or generally housing association work. Ideally within a 40 mile radius of Burton upon Trent.
We have carried out work for many authorities around the country and tied it in with the thermal insulation work that we do, but money is tight out there as we all know, and until litigation is threatened the work does not get done.
We are Chas Accredited plus several others.
The main problem that we have is local authorities tend to cover up the problems and not treat as it should be; therefore the problems come back again and again.
Dunno whether this is an idea worth exploring ..... Some builders seem to be actively involved in house renovation - tarting up dilapidated properties (possibly with lots of unlovely mould) and then selling on the improved property. Would there be any value in researching which builders do such work (eg through a housebuilders' trade association) and then trying a direct pitch to them? Linda CareersPartnershipUK

Same idea, slightly tweaked .... landlords, letting agents (inc estate agents) especially those catering for students and short-term lets? Environmental Health Officers deal with property that tenants allege to be unfit for letting. While they have to be seen as impartial, would it be of any use to show them how you can sort out mould problems and enquire of them how you can best reach those landlords (in the locality) that may be faced with a mould problem at one time or another? Again they are front facing to problems & then refer back to Insurers with a plan or even using approved companies to start repairs or remedial action - may be worth trying to get involved with them Clive

There is an annual book published with all the senior councillors in each authority have you thought about emailing each of these with some sort of individual approach?
