Over here things seem to be going ok, but debt is a huge issue for most still, which will probably always be an issue.. but because of the crash, people have been spending a little more responsibly. The country's debt figure, personal debt I mean, is astoundingly high, regardless of how responsible most have become.

I'm still in shock though, I never really thought SAAB would do badly.

ok, now your starting to scare me

LOL I was thinking about Universal soldier at the time I wouldn't really do that. I have a really high threshold. It takes a LOT to get me really angry. I'm far too mellow.
I've been keeping a beady eye on our site as well. I have been working on any "faults" found in my webmaster tools, the worst of which was a few links missing from pages.

Other than that its just the basic robots txt files it can't find on the site pages, which is strange, because they are there, but the site was built using business catalyst, so I'm not too sure where the problem's coming from.

Traffic wise, everything seems to be doing ok, even improving at some point, the same as it has always been so I will watch and see what is what.

Yep, and depending what time it is, what day it is, am I hungry? List goes on lol

I think you mellow with age though, not as feisty as I used to be Or maybe kids does that to you!

lol kids, age, life. I guess in the end you realize that you aren't really setting much of an example if you go off at someone for no apparent reason.

For me though its not become a case of when someone goes off at me. That might just be because I'm a girl though. But my time for fighting and walking around with people's ears around my neck are long gone. Most days i would just ignore it and take my out on a pillow. I go through a lot of pillows , but its worth it.

Its a good story though. It has a good moral to it. I try, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes it just happens and you never expected you'd chew someones head off. Do you think it boils down to each person having their own breaking point. Some have a higher tolerance than others?

Some days I am as quiet as a landmine.... until you step on me
lol we all have em. Even down here in good ol' SA.

Where I live, there is a semi elderly couple. I think they may have retired too early or something, but man are they annoying. Ya think maybe they're bored or something? They feel they are boss out here. Once, they complained about the dogs in our neighborhood to the point where the hubby went to the offending house and screamed at the occupants (My next door neighbors). He ALWAYS as something to say or something to complain about with the area.

He even went as far as to get the SPCA out here to make sure the dogs were ok. We have neighbors that are mechanics by trade, and are always tinkering in their garage. We almost NEVER see a police car out here. lol until the mechanics are busy again.

A week or so ago, I was working on our training videos for clients and I needed silence. My mic is sensitive and generally picks up the slightest noise. and to be completely honest, I was furious when the next thing I hear is someone going off with an angle grinder. I was on a deadline and this had to be done as professionally as our videos on youtube and I was getting nowhere fast with this noise. Anyhoo, I walked to the window to see if I could pinpoint where the noise was coming from. And it was none other than the twit that always complained at us putting up a new deck.

The first thing I thought of was justice. The thought of going down there and ripping him 'a new one' was almost too good to let go. But in the end, I stepped back and thought you know? the last thing I need now is for him to make ME a target of his pettiness. I think the other neighbors might have gotten a slice of justice pie though. His grinding didn't last long at all

i find this a very rewarding part of life, knowing i can train people

Exactly, and I think that having that experience and knowing you had a hand in shaping a new successful businessman is a lot better than ok, maybe not making your first million , but it is a reward unto its own.

LOL I can't believe people are still doing this. It's been around for a while now. Yea, I know sometimes you're just so dang upset you type before you think.... it makes no difference at all, its gna be seen, and you're going to get into trouble for it.

The most annoying thing I have found on facebook is when people feel the need to add every teeny tiny little detail of their day. If you break a nail, and you don't need surgery to fix it. I don't need to know about it. Seriously. lol

Many people use facebook the way it was intended, and many don't have a clue. IMO its the latter that kinda kills it for the rest of us. I had a facebook page, but now it and my entire friend list is buried under a pile of dust, because I don't use it. When my boss and I were talking about setting up a company page, I groaned, but it is my job and I still work on the page when I have time. But because of my workload, we have been thinking about outsourcing, and to be honest, I'm kinda happy about that. The plus side though, is that I can still talk to my friends. Even if its only via skype or email.

I agree and I disagree.

The way I look at it is like this. If someone values your opinion and respects your skill enough to actually ask you to mentor him, I wouldn't hesitate. True, you would probably be teaching your competition and you would in all likelihood run the risk of teaching someone to "outwork" you. But, if you could teach them not just the ropes, but instill a sort of respect for those of you in the same industry and not only yourself, the damage might be far less in terms of giving back?

I'm not saying that everyone you teach is NOT going to try work as hard as they can to surpass you, in all likelihood that will happen. But think about how these new competitors are going to be seen in the public eye if they knew you had a hand in his training. It could be a mutual reputation building experience.

If that doesn't happen, at least you will have peace of mind knowing you could teach someone about the way you work and how things are done, and they learnt enough from you to make a success of themselves.
