That's what the Big G, and about every blogger wants. I recently wrote a really asinine blog post for a friend, and I am waiting to see what the response will be when people read it. You don't have to be controversial though (I just like making waves sometimes), But what I do enjoy is taking a comment from one of my posts and building a conversation out of it. People tend to chip in if they have some insight, and the one liners are caught in the akismet net.

It takes a little longer. Thankfully I am not a chain smoker like my dad was. I have heard all sorts of myths as to why I started and its been from having my pacifier taken from me at an early age (O.o) to doing it because my parents did... I've already gotten to the point where, I know I need to do something, and it tastes awful (I used to enjoy menthols at one point), but now its just all automatic.

Okies, I'm hijacking the thread now, and that's not good as its meant as a support thread.

Inspiring. But for me, the longest I have gone without was about three days. Being a stereotypical redhead, people were happy when I was calmer. Unfortunately, that meant smoking again.
There might be one good thing about this, if they decide to rewrite your page title for you on a search, they might also tackle the ones that stuff their title page with keywords as well. (If not, that would be a cool thing to see).
i like this forum better compared to v7n, digital point... ur points above exactly

V7N is not that bad actually, but I might be biased as I am a mentor there It's just huge, and unfortunately quite strongly policed as they have a really good ranking and people have tried relentlessly to take advantage of it.

MLF is comparatively smaller, but is also more laid back and allows for a lot of really good conversation that's on a wider scale than just being a webmaster, and its that coziness that make MLF so nice to be around (apart from the jokes being a tad better on a friday )

Digital point and warrior forum. hmmm the safest thing to say is that I am glad I left those when I did. Both forums seem to be in decline and many long standing members have been jumping ship for greener climates.

A link is a link. Whether its do follow or nofollow. Especially since google wants to see both pointing to your site and not one. I think I might point you to the webmaster TOS for that. They do accept some link building strategies, but last I heard buying links was a no no. I think reciprocal might still be ok though.

However, some webmasters engage in link exchange schemes and build partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking, disregarding the quality of the links, the sources, and the long-term impact it will have on their sites. This is in violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines and can negatively impact your site's ranking in search results. Examples of link schemes can include:

Links intended to manipulate PageRank
Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web
Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")
Buying or selling links that pass PageRank

source: webmaster tools

and Paid links:
A site's ranking in Google search results is partly based on analysis of those sites that link to it. Link-based analysis is an extremely useful way of measuring a site's value, and has greatly improved the quality of web search. Both the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of links count towards this rating.

again

So they're not being dictators, but there are a few small rules about getting links on your site/blog.

I'd be lost without it. You could use disqus as well. Comment luv is kinda being targeted by the underworld at the moment. I think with disqus you could set a captcha code or something similar as added protection. Will check my plugins in the morning and let you know.

I was lucky though. I got my gold one and midnight for around a hundred each. Samurai was much less than that, but I've had him for longer than five years and he was used to being with koi and i think they call them shebunken. He rarely lifted his fins unless i was cleaning the tank and had to catch him, or the koi were on his rocks. Lol was funny watching him Chase them. He would hide in the holes and "mini caves" and wait for them. As soon as they got close he comes out fins in the air.

I had a talking catfish as well. He would grunt at me if I caught him. Scared me witless the first time he did that. Samurai was my last pleco though. My big tank only has 2 shebunken and 3 koi. My small tank has danios, mosquito fish, and a few little orange fish, i forget the name now. Will remember later probably.

Aha. They're called sword tails.

I've tried. Even tried medication prescribed by my gp. One small stress wobble, and my track record is history. Cold turkey doesn't work for me either.
