WORLD SURVEY BY PHONE

Last month a world-wide survey was conducted by the UN.

The only question asked was:

"Could you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food
shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a massive failure because of the following:

1. In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant;

2. In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant;

3. In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant;

4. In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant;

5. In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant;

6. In South America they didn't know what "please" meant;

7. In the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant;

8. In the UK they hung up as soon as they heard the Indian accent.

I've seen doccies about it on TV. I would love to got here myself, lol I just don't have the time to do it though. There are man gorgeous places around SA that are a must see, its hard to decide which one to go to.

Sterkfontein - the caves. MUST be 1st on your list. Been excavated for over 120 years now? Must be the jewel in the SA Crown.

Fishoek is gorgeous, as is the area I am in. Not too sure about Kenya and Tanzania though, fartherst I've been out of the area I live is Knysna

I want to visit the caves at Pinnacle Point - reputed to be the birthplace (as it were) of all humans. Historic location if true.

It just means that, sometimes there aren't any Afrikaans words for something, so in the end, its spoken in the english, but with an afrikaans accent. Cool Joeys, I am about a 12 hour drive from Johannesburg, down on the west coast between East London and the former Transkei

Aha! My partner spent many years in Fishoek, bit farther down the coast from you. I went over there 2 years ago for a visit - beautiful country. Love Africa, having spent some time in kenya and tanzania.
