PostsLoveFilm 9th September 2010 4:54 PM Has anyone used it and can anyone recommend it? I am considering signing up to their Best female horror characters... 9th September 2010 9:55 AM Evil Dead is a good call... as is the Joker (Heath Ledger version) as he was one scary looking dude. Am sure there will be plenty of zombie types attending. Will post a link to some pics after the party (well not straight after it) in case anyone is interested ![]() Best female horror characters... 8th September 2010 3:03 PM Hmmm... all good suggestions but I was thinking more along the fictitious movie/comic book front rather than history ![]() Best female horror characters... 8th September 2010 2:37 PM So my wife and I have decided we will have a scary/horror movie-themed fancy dress party for my birthday next month and I have decided to go as The Crow (not technically horror pretty scary looking and kick ass). However, we got to thinking just how many female horror characters there actually are to come as (for the female guests of course)... You have your usual obvious costumes such as Carrie, Linda Blair, Medusa etc but what else is there that would make a good costume?? Simon Misheard Tunes 8th September 2010 1:58 PM As a kid, in the hymn 'Give Me Joy In My Heart I thought 'Sing Hosanna' was 'Single Spanner' and always thought the 'King of Kings' bit was 'Concrete Kings' ! So, when I was dragged to church as a child I was often hear belting out... "Single Spanner, Single Spanner, Single Spanner to the Concrete kings!" ![]() Buzz Lightyear! 7th September 2010 11:48 AM Well the Buzz Lightyear figure is on eBay with bidding at Tunes that motivate 6th September 2010 10:08 AM Buzz Lightyear! 3rd September 2010 9:30 AM Steve - no need for down the trousers these days with big pocket jeans ![]() Reminds me of the great 'water in to vodka using a hair dryer' trick that we use when going to the Download festival each year. You are only allowed one 500ml bottle of water into the arena and it must be sealed so you use the hair dryer to heat up the bottle top and then ease up the top with a knife, seal completely attached. Then empty the water, replace with vodka and screw the lid back on. Works every time. Drinking straight vodka whilst watching AC/DC - can't beat it ![]() Turning off Blackberry 8900 2nd September 2010 11:51 AM So it turns out that by holding down the 'end call' (OFF) button on my B'berry I am just putting it into standby. I only found this out yesterday when as part of our annual PCI audit, the IP scanner scanned the office and picked up the MAC address for my phone! I make sure the WiFi connection is turned off when in the office but it is still picking something up. I have since discovered an icon at the very bottom of the menu which supposedly turns the phone off - it gives two options "Turn off" and "Turn phone off" ?? I tried this but still it picks up on the IP scanner. My question is... does anyone know how to turn the damn thing off without taking the battery out every time?? Thanks, Simon Buzz Lightyear! 2nd September 2010 11:13 AM Have stuck it on eBay so will see what it fetches... I have some other more collectible toys which I am keeping hold of... including another Buzz which I have never opened ![]() Steve, it isn't to fund the weekend... just to add some cash to it... |
