Reminds me of a friend's discussion with some female colleagues.  Some suggestions of female participation cannot be repeated before the watershed! 

Seriously though, a worthy cause.

Car returned to me at 1pm.  Had been washed and vacuumed (although they'd forgotten the boot) at no extra charge.  Apparently I will have survey to complete about their service where anything less than 10 is a  failure.  The Korean bosses obviously set the bar very high.

Great news for UK plc.

I've been a Vodafone Pay As You Go customer for over 10 years and never had a problem with them so was very surprised to hear about this fine.  

Large companies have a wide range of excuses when things go wrong or just try and hide.  When companies are looking to make savings then the training budget is usually the first to take a hit.  BA frequent flyers only found out that the airline had signed an IT outsourcing deal with Tata when points and flights disappeared from their accounts.  Apparently 55 workers came to the UK to be trained by the very people who they would be replacing.  

The saying "peanuts and monkeys" comes to mind for customer service as a whole.  You only have to look at the pay.....

The builder who lives by me has already adjusted his hours, going out at 7am instead of 8am.  Had red glow from his brakelights in bedroom this morning as he sat with foot on pedal waiting for his mate to appear.....

There are other countries around the world who observe daylight saving.  Notable ones that don't are Muslim countries and China where everything is Beijing time!  I've also been on holiday in Cyprus at this time of year and gained an hour there.

Sutton Park Kia, is part of the Sutton Park Group who sell new and used Kia, Dacia, Renault, Fiat and Suzuki.   I've got a Kia Picanto 1.25 on a 4 year personal lease with a paid up-front service plan.  The company originally started in Sutton Coldfield, but bow has other branches in the Midlands.

Today is its annual service.  Picked up from home at 9am by very friendly driver.  Just watched video of part of the 25 point check; never had this service before or from Nissan (I previously had a Micra).  Now waiting for it to be delivered back to me.  Only gripe I've got is the previously free wash and vacuum now starts at £4.99.  Needless to say, I've said no thanks......

Mini-rant alert!

Yesterday's You Magazine (with Mail on Sunday for those not familiar) suggested that any of the expensive watches shown on the fashion accessories page could "make losing an hour's sleep this Sunday more bearable" 

To quote our American cousins "Spring forward, Fall back" 

This discussion reminds me of the recent case of a "personality" taking out an injunction against the UK media naming him.  The "incident" allegedly involving three people was widely reported in the USA and he was named.  Money talks so if the injunction is challenged again then he can just keep paying to defend his name.
