Sleep Deprivation 30th November 2016 9:52 AM

How many of us have a decent amount of sleep each night. The average amount of sleep for an adult human is 8 hours. Do we all sleep a good eight hours a night? If not why? Is there something stopping us like kids or work?

Many workers in the UK do not receive their average amount of sleep each night due to the stress of work and employment issues, many take the office home with them and continue to work until early hours of the morning. This usually wouldn't be such an issue as most workers then continue to get up and go to work the following morning however recent statistics show that 200,000 working days have been lost due to workers having lack of sleep and not turning up for work. This as an overall costing the UK £40bn.

Not only do we have to think about businesses losing out on money due to workers not turning up therefore more complaints;we have to think about how the economic cost of this is rising rapidly. By workers staying up until early hours more electricity and heating is being used due to them being awake- this having a very large negative impact on the environment and economy.

The government are now encouraging employees to build nap rooms to emphasise the importance of sleep! How cool is that, don't mind if I do On the other hand the government is saying that workers should exercise at least once a day as this is scientifically proven to help you fall asleep and sleep for longer.

Here we go again- Trump's weekly scandal. 29th November 2016 11:49 AM

How come you think hes normal then Julia, fill us in

Here we go again- Trump's weekly scandal. 28th November 2016 12:05 PM

I thought the same Barney!! he won't be complaining that the votes were illegal when he finally comes in to power, think it will be overwhelming

As we all know to our distraught Donald Trump is now the President of the USA. He won the election and has now got the title he really wanted.

Surely being president of the United States is a positive thing for the guy, I mean I know I wouldn't complain or cause dispute if I had won the election and now had great power; although most Americans now fear for their country.

But no Donald Trump strikes again and pipes up with the accusation that millions of votes during the election were voting illegally?!? He is demanding a re-count of the votes discarding the votes that are said to be 'illegal'.

I know that if that was me I would not dream of a re-count, what if this meant that Clinton did actually have more votes than him and she could use this as her way in to becoming president?

Has the man gone bonkers or is it just me?

With offers on every online site and in store shop there is no stopping the people of today.

Maybe you could use Black Friday to your advantage and offer deals within your business? Due to the day being so popular it is a great opportunity to gain new customers and reward your current customers with a discount or offer perhaps?

So how cheap are the products sold on black Friday? I don't know you tell me? What are the best deals out today?

Heinz Bean Advert Banned! 23rd November 2016 10:04 AM

Surely we have all seen the Heinz Beans advert? Its Brilliant- it seems to me that it follows the Cup song you may have seen on the famous film Pitch Perfect?

Well I hate to break it you but this advert has been banned from all Television screens across the UK ITV news have stated that several viewers of the advert have complained that it is

"unsafe practice" and six believed it featured behaviour that could be dangerous for children to copy.

The company Heinz have eagerly responded to these complaints stating that

'the advert showed people tapping the can on "safe" surfaces - its sealed top, bottom, or sides - and did not show anyone putting their hands or fingers inside the can'

Because the advert had no health and safety risks for viewers; it could result in young children hurting themselves through trying to copy actors on the advert, but with open cans. Personally I think the advert is great and considering the aim is to up-sale beans it brings a lot of fun to our screens.

However I can see the point about it being dangerous as witnessing my dad cutting his thumb seriously on an open can, it is very easy to hurt yourself when messing with sharp items.

To protect themselves I think that they probably should have thought about the risks associated with the advert before releasing it, but everyone makes silly mistakes.

I'm a bit gutted that it has been taken off our screens, I liked the song it was very catchy!

NHS- New identity checks? 23rd November 2016 9:07 AM

Defiantly, that's the issue they do have to consider though. What if people don't have this ID card? Then that happens? Is it wrong for the NHS to refuse patients treatment

Mince Pies 22nd November 2016 2:56 PM

I'm not a big fan of them myself- bit sad really because all my family can't get enough of them. It is all about the new Terry's Chocolate orange flavoured Mcflurry at McDonalds that is coming out, looks delicious

NHS- New identity checks? 22nd November 2016 1:20 PM

Yes it is improving security amongst other things I have to say.

Good thinking with the bus passes though, forgot about that one myself!!

Wow that sounds terrible, so dangerous if other people get hold of drugs that are not theirs, could be deathly if there was a misunderstanding. This Spanish system sounds good though, but like Fake ID's there are always people out there thinking of ways to break the system
