Did you have time off over Christmas? 31st December 2019 12:10 PM

Ah best of luck sorting it all out Andy! That all sounds really stressful!

Did you have time off over Christmas? 29th December 2019 11:11 AM

As a most of us run our own small businesses, it can be really hard to take proper time off.

I was strict with myself and made sure I had a ten day break over Christmas, which somehow ended today, on a Sunday, with client work to do. But it's quite nice to get my head back in the game.

I didn't do anything except reply to two urgent emails and post on LinkedIn over the Christmas break (the place I get most of my new leads).

Have you found it hard to step away from the emails and messages? Did you have to keep a hand in to keep up to date with some basic tasks?

It's important to be able to get away from it all at times, I'm raring to go now and I was definitely feeling very rundown after a busy December.

A belated Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a good rest, even if you don't celebrate.

Who still uses cash? 9th December 2019 10:41 PM

I drew out cash at the weekend and realised it's a rare event indeed now!

Death penalty... 7th December 2019 9:51 PM

The politicians got it wrong? I'm shocked.... They should not be overruling cases as they're not trained and most of them probably don't have a clue about the judicial system. A big mistake on this occasion.

Thanks John. I guess it's a case of one size doesn't fit all as I don't think I did many of those things.

I'm not sure I understand the question, are you asking why you're not attracting customers from directory listings?

Never used one but I hope someone can help!

Interesting!

But i have seem those that sms marketing has worked for.

And besides, im sure you know some people use sms marketing to re-target customers.

I'm sure they do but it wouldn't impress me if a company texted me about their services, it would feel like they've overstepped. At least you can block numbers result enough these days.

Can I sue my 50/50 business partner? 7th December 2019 9:41 PM

The short answer is I don't know, but I assume your have a legal agreement in place from when you set up the partnership, as I believe if you dissolve if the assets and debts are split equally.

I would contact a solicitor for some free advice, as most will give you a free phone consultation, then go from there. Best of luck.
