Debenhams bites the dust 10th April 2019 12:34 PM

I was sad to see that Debenhams has gone into administration, even sadder as I have a gift card I need to use! They are still accepting them but I wouldn't buy any new ones if I was you. Also large purchases with warranties etc. might be worth  avoiding.

I love the whole department store vibe but I guess it is dated now and the prices don't compete well with online shopping. Sad times!

Lush give Facebook the flush! 10th April 2019 12:28 PM

Lush have announced they are shutting down all their social media accounts.

They are being quite bold as they have a big following online. I find they are like Marmite, you either love or hate the products and as going into the shop gives me a massive headache you can guess where I stand! Can you still succeed without social media? Well they're already a well established brand, so I guess it depends how the high street does. Eventually we may start to forget them if we don't happen to walk past the shop. Mind you most of their customers seem to be huge fans, I guess that must be what are relying on. Thoughts?

We don't always agree Steve but on this we do. The whole thing was a bad idea from the start and they just didn't believe leave would win, so when they did no one had a clue what to say or do and therefore hardly anything has been done. It is all well and good to say just leave, and blindly walk off with no deal but the reality is it will have long term and short term effects if we walk off without trade deals and no agreement on free movement of people etc.

Gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

Meanwhile... 8 April, guess what we're still in

What total chaos, we seem to be sliding towards an accidental no deal brexit. The worse possible outcome for everyone thanks to our dysfunctional and unbelievably crap political system.

Bring in the Queen, a bit of direct rule, what else could be worse?”

At this point anything is worth a try? I am running out of words to describe the whole thing....

Thanks the exact problem, if it's daytime and you get a new tyre and the foam gets you to tyre place then great but if it's late or a weekend and nowhere is opened you're screwed. It's really shortsighted. Anything to save money I guess.

Bought a new transit van last year, everything they’re talking about was an optional extra..... for a fee of course..... What I found annoying, is that a spare wheel is no longer a standard accessory..... just a can of expanding foam..... By the time I paid for a new spare wheel, tools and a Jack...... I was down another £400...”

That's so ridiculous! Of course you need a spare wheel!

How much is a haircut in Paris? 29th March 2019 12:09 PM

There definitely are not 17.4 million people who want to still leave though.... It's all been the most divisive thing for this country. Whichever way you voted you're currently unhappy so they've managed to upset everyone. Bunch of Muppets.

Ooooh I wonder what program it is? Let us know when you find out. Well done.

So, according to the article this technology is being brought into some models of new cars already but the green light is for all cars to have it eventually. In reality it can be overridden and you can still speed but the aim is to have mandatory black boxes, so if you were over the limit and you have an accident they will have evidence.

What do you think?  I have put it in the business section on here as so many of us drive for business and people have vans or lorries than do, although a lot of those already have limiters built in I believe.

Is it too big brother for you? Or will it save lives?
