Happy Halloween! 1st November 2017 3:09 PM

Hahaha you sound like my dad!   I wouldn't be impressed with gangs of teenagers coming to the door though. We just had younger kids come here and one older lad had a scary mask, which he took off so he didn't scare my two, he was really sweet and respectful, well brought up clearly!

I bought the last pumpkin in the shop and botched a scary face out of it last minute, as it had a squishy hole already.

We're all worse off! Read it and weep! 1st November 2017 10:36 AM

According to NIESR, in Britain, households are more than £600 worse off each year since Brexit, which is rather depressing reading!

“The National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) said it is “almost certain” the leave vote has damaged living standards and hit the growth potential of the economy.”

I think we all knew this really, well most of us, but seeing figures being given makes it more real. I have certainly noticed food prices increasing. They have also adjusted the projected GDP growth for the UK economy to 1.6 from 1.7%, to give this some context the global growth is expected to be 3.5%!

We have this news in advance of the expected interest increase on Thursday, it’s not good news, and this is all before any Brexit negotiations have even been agreed.

Do you think Brexit will lessen people’s spending this Christmas? Personally, I have seen an increase in interest in using small local businesses, which is taking money away from the bigger national companies. Are you worried about your business? Or are you expecting a busy Christmas this year?

Do you open the door to trick or treaters or hide behind the curtains? We do because we have kids. I don't take them out trick or treating because they're a bit young and I never did it so I'm not that keen! I have been dressed up all day though!

“few people will be trying to hack your average home WiFi network, but make sure you do use complex passwords, use an up to date decent antivirus and malware (not a freebie one) and if you are sat in the Premier Inn using their WiFi, it's probably not the best time to check your online banking

Hmmmm see we do use a free one that my husband, who used to work in software testing, insists is decent enough...

Still no fix? Must be a tricky one, it sounds very irritating. Much like my laptop no longer going into sleep mode after Windows 8.

It was amazing thanks. I've decided to care less about pretty much everything and enjoy more moments.... Take that as you will.

Can you pay your bills? 27th October 2017 10:02 PM
I've just consolidated my 2 credit cards into 1 with a zero percent interest for 30 months.. Now that we have remortgaged and payments have dropped by £100 It's go towards paying it off”

Ooooooh well done. I got rid of all my debt many years ago. It's one thing I have going for me. Ha.

Did you survive the red sun? 25th October 2017 11:21 AM
Yes I know been very warm

Just to think that some people don't beleive in global warming”

Climate change is undeniable that's for sure!

So did anyone else not enjoy turning 40? If one more person tells me it's just a number I'll be buying a taser! I'm not really sure why I care so much, but hopefully it'll be a fun decade and I'll be embracing it soon!!

Wow that seems crazy. Especially as I was freezing at the weekend!
