Did you survive the red sun?

A fascinating day with a very red sun and dark, eclipse-like eerie lighting. Apparently caused by the Saharan sand in the atmosphere. My car ended up covered in sand! How was it where you were? The wind was pretty gusty as well, although nothing like people in the storm's path I'm sure! 

This photo is just as you can see the weather changing, it got really warm and sunny afterwards!

Yep that's right ..We used to get it in South Africa too ... Just wait till it rains mud ,it's awful.Just amazes me at the power of Mother nature moving all that sand

It did rain sand, as it was all over my car but I'll pass on the mud thanks Andy! Sounds a bit too biblical. They'll be a plague of locusts next!

It has been so mild today, I had to turn on my air - con to keep my flowers cool!
