I call that sales initiative Cleared my inbox Fri afternoon, came back in after the bank holiday and 184 emails waiting for me. So much for GDPR cutting down on spam and getting removed off unwanted mail lists. My favorite ones are "please agree to our new privacy, or confirm subscription blah blah.." Then if you don't respond we'll assume you're still interested and send you rubbish anyway. So why send me the poxy email in the first place! Nope. If they collected their data correctly in the first place, ie people opted in and this is audit-able, then they don't have to bombard you. Everyone will be updating their privacy pages, (along with us), but you don't need to tell the world and his wife.
