Anyone knows if a PAT test is necessary for an event? 6th May 2011 12:00 PM I actually have a circuit breaker, so I will take it with me. Thanks a lot, this was very useful! Thierry Anyone knows if a PAT test is necessary for an event? 5th May 2011 6:27 PM Hello, I am supposed to do a talk next week, and I was asked to bring an electric compliance certificate if I need to plug anything. And I usually do better with a laptop and a projector. I contacted the organisers and they told me that they meant a PAT test, but that for the last 5 years, no one was asked to provide one (this is just the people managing the building who require it), so I should not worry too much. I called a friend who is an electrician, and he told me its costs about two pounds, but that he does not have the machine. But looking on the web for a local one in Cambridge, I could only see a minimum overall number of appliances (like 50 or 60), and mainly a focus for professional companies.. So my questions are: - anyone who does a lot of presentations, is aware of this, and has been ever asked? - anyone knows someone in Cambridge who provides PAT test for one or 2 applicances Thanks a lot Good Website software - help needed 24th January 2011 1:27 PM Very useful feedback. I will be talking to a friend that has helped me with Wordpress, and thinkin about it further. Thanks a lot. Good Website software - help needed 21st January 2011 3:28 PM Hello, New on the forum. I am thinking of re-designing my website. I have been using wordpress but was hoping to get something simpler to use, and with more functionality, and ideally a PC based software. I am looking into WebEasy Pro 8. Any recommendations? Or Good experience? Thierry |
