I've found that Google+ dominates every other channel for local businesses in terms of sheer call volume.

Everyone goes there right now. All you need to really do is pick the 2 biggest searched phrases (using Google Keyword tool) and optimize your Google+ page with those as categories, words in the description, and fill it out with as much content (pictures, videos, coupons etc) as possible.
Best Way to get clients 25th August 2012 4:14 PM
Build a good website, then buy banners and email traffic to your site. Total test budget: $2000

Just make sure you can close them.

hey man, great job on the SEO. do you have tracking installed?

Install Google Analytics so you can see how much traffic you're getting. It's free and easy to install.

After that we'll figure out if you want phone calls or email leads, and we'll make sure we're tracking that.

This is all either free or very inexpensive to do, and will let you know how much $$ your making (so we happily spend more).
Suggestion for Business Improvement? 25th August 2012 4:10 PM
I try to ask anyone who will give me solid advice. All employees, family members (the ones who kind of understand the business) and clients and sometimes even vendors.

One vendor suggested I slightly change the customers I went after, and that has helped my business tremendously become more profitable. There insight into the fulfillment side of the business means they were honed in on better customers.
Hey everyone,

This is my first post ever in this forum so forgive me if I go on too long - but want to leave something valuable.

I've used Pinterest a bit and found it good at driving website visitors, and OK at building a community (although I know it's great for this just haven't done it yet).

To get maximum advantage out of it, you have to host the pictures of your website, and then pin them in your pinterest account. This way whenever someone views your picture, and clicks through it goes straight to your site.

You've also just got to view other people's pictures, re-pin some, comment on them - this gets people interacting back with you. They'll see your stuff, follow you, re-pin.

The best market for this is women, since the vast majority of people on Pinterest are women. So if your best customers aren't women 25-55, don't bother (yet).

The best resource I've found on this so far is right here:

(I can't post a direct link because this is my first forum post)

Hope this helps!
