“Hi all
I am a newbie here so dont know if this is in the right place.... I hope so!

I am a young business women who has a very very limited budget. I got a website on Getting British Business Online which gives a free site for british small business's.

I am struggling on how I can get it into the top page on google on certain search terms. Is this search engine optimisation?

Sorry if I sound a bit dumb but websites are not my expertise!

Welcome to this wonderful forum, Solution to your problem is doing search engine optimization by yourself. It will save money as you limited money and similarly it not a difficult thing to do.

Ranking on Google need well optimize website in term of on-page and off-page. If your website is well optimize in both things then surly it will rank well on search engine... cheers...

I totally agree with above reply that is google know the best return rate of adsense. It is very difficult to understand by another person. You can guess but accurate return rate is difficult to get...

I am feeling relax after seen this post now at-least my job will survive for more 6 months. One thing for sure that is SEO really help in making website more optimize then before and website own or business owner are getting good benefits of SEO. As they are getting potential customers form search engine.

People search products and services before buying it and SEO can help any website on getting these potential customers. I think SEO will have a good impact on internet marketing and helping business....

Article submission is not dead but need high quality to benefit the ranking of keywords. Before google panda article with low quality works but now it is difficult to get ranking against low quality articles.

Google panda is a update named by google, Usually in this update google target low quality websites and ban them or decarise their ranking. Low qaulity websites means which have low quality contents or copy or duplicate contents.
