So what on earth is the answer?

Any bright spark come up with a solution? If so I'll retweet to number 10

Support the British tourist industry instead..... Some of the best summer holidays I had as a child was finding a deserted beach in Cornwall, Ok it was a bit of a trek to get to them, but no one ever bothered us, made camp fires out of drift wood, went rock pool fishing, beach volley ball.... To be honest some of the best holidays I ever had. When I go away I go as far away as possible to where all the other Brits go.....

Reliable car needed 21st July 2015 1:17 PM

Best car I ever had was a Cortina Mk1 followed by the Escort Mk1. First car I purchased was a Moskovich, spent more time pushing it than driving... Soon realised it was never going to be a bird puller.... so dumped it in a canal and claimed the insurance.... haha those were the days...

Oh what a night.... 20th July 2015 11:53 PM

I think the review may have been removed because I also included my mobile number should anyone wish to query the review. Only one person did, have now given him the opportunity to refund what I have paid him, plus 3 days van hire @ £45.00 per hour plus the cost of the vehicle inspection. So in total I'm claiming £3220.00 plus vat, plus court costs / interest should I pursue that avenue, I don't expect him to cough up, but I am going to get pleasure in annoying him over the next few months....

And just as I thought..... another court case coming up...

I know nothing about cars other than they have 4 wheels unless it's a Reliant Robin and are generally made of tin.... But I know of a green van that's just about to go on sale...

Well nearly a month on and the van is nearly repaired and back on the road, I thought whilst it's in the garage I'll get the mechanics to strip the clutch out to see whether it's been renewed or not. This garage is also registered as being reputable with trading standards. Prior to this I asked 'Jimmy' for a receipt several times which would never materialise. The good thing is, he has no idea the vehicle was off the road 48hrs after he supposedly renewed the clutch and has no idea the clutch is about to be inspected

I wrote a review on Yell.com, the last review he had prior to me writing one was in August 2013. Make of it what you will, but my not so glowing review has been deleted and replaced by three new reviews all claiming what a wonderful service they have had, so no reviews for 2 years and hey presto 3 great ones on consecutive days. The funny thing is when he realised I'd written him a bad review, my phone was inundated with text messages about what he was going to do to me Certainly think he needs to brush up on his customer service skills Anyway will let you know later on the result of the inspection....

The new Dragons... 17th July 2015 1:58 PM

I'm bore with it now, only bits I use to enjoy were when people lost their sales pitch or when asked 'Why have you given your business a valuation of £1million?' and they come up with no valid response....Would like to see a spin off series about what other than the initial investment the dragons actually do.......

Can honestly say I have still not ever bought anything from either Ebay or Amazon.. Amazon because it always looks far more expensive than other outlets and Ebay more to do with trust than anything else....

Amazon 10th July 2015 12:28 AM

I gave up with Amazon, must have around 6 months ago. They wanted me to swing through hoops to open an online shop. The only reason I was going to open one in the first place was because I knew I could undercut competitors prices by a long margin.... How wrong was I, I now know why the competitors are charging so much, it boils down to Amazons commission.

I paid someone the best part of £400 to try and sort this shop out as I didn't have the time nor patience. Some of my work takes me in to high secure offices in London including banks and it is easier for me to get into these places, than it was to open a simple online shop with Amazon....as I said I gave up

Budget 2015 - business highlights 8th July 2015 5:31 PM

It seemed pretty up beat to me, if it were me I would have cut benefits a lot more. I think IDS has done a brilliant job over the last few years dealing with the benefit culture of this country. Not sure what the value of £9 will be in 5 years time, but it is a start in the right direction and with a reduction in corporation tax it is only fair that employers pay a fair wage. The whole idea of taxing people and then giving it back to them dressed up as a tax credit, is simply crazy. If you do a fair days work you should get a fair days pay. I've always been in favour of free education, regardless of status but only for proper educational skills / qualifications, not for the likes of media studies etc. Longterm the country benefits, telling youngsters that they will have a debt to pay after they leave university isn't really encouraging them to better themselves...
