PostsHappy Birthday Clive you grumpy old git! 4th June 2010 7:19 PM Happy Birthday Clive, Hope you had a good day and Steve paid for all the drinks ![]() BA strike into fourth day 3rd June 2010 1:56 PM “....After our BA return flight was cancelled, would I choose BA again? Probarbly not....” Really? Moving forward the disputes will hopefully be resolved. Admittedly it's not great at the moment (as you discovered) but if the price is right I'd still go with them as strike action can happen to any company. ![]() Obama and BP at Risk Over Oil Spill 3rd June 2010 1:48 PM The share price is certainly worth watching... ...if goes even lower, which I would expect it to. If you have some spare money could prove an interesting gamble! ![]() On the serious side, moving forward there needs to be wider understanding of how these repairs can be made. Many of the pipes must be getting very old now and we could potentially be having more of these sort of incidents happening. Which brings me onto the lack of investment ![]() Obama - invest in renewable technologies and move away from the over reliance on oil companies. Then the USA (& the world) would be a better place. ![]() Internet Explorer ver 8 - our survey said 1st June 2010 7:36 PM “Chrome just doesn't do it for me as my main browser, so thought I'd revisit firefox after all....” Why not? I thought I'd try Chrome again today, I did try it when it first came out but for some reason I went back to Firefox - but not sure why? ![]() I do like the narrow bar at the top, as I did previously and I'm currently wondering why I didn't like it before as I don't recall anything has changed. On the basis their share of the browser market is rising a lot of people seem to be changing to Chrome. Perhaps at some point I will realise why I changed back to FF from Chrome but at the moment... ....Chrome is good for me. ![]() Steves on his hols.... 1st June 2010 7:15 PM Excellent, I'll put my feet back up on the desk now ![]() Do you think you need a lead software? 27th May 2010 12:10 PM Welcome katherine, That's an interesting line of work you're in, however, I'm afraid I've removed your weblink, as we do have a 10 post limit before you can add links, this stops those spammers, and also people who only post once and never return! I hope you become a regular contributer, and look forward to reading your future posts as I'm sure many people will be interested in the ways leads can be generated. Best of luck and I hope you find the forums useful. Want to Start a Business 25th May 2010 8:08 PM Not only do I know very little about the wreck/salvage/scrap yard business apart from the odd visit to find a new wing mirror, I see that you're based in Colorado USA so as I'm in the UK any advice would be of little use. ![]() Hopefully somebody will come along soon and give you some good advice. Though I'd have thought if you've got a good business plan (and putting some money in yourself - to show commitment) you should be able to get a loan regardless of your age. ![]() Google discloses AdSense revenue share 24th May 2010 9:35 PM Interesting article - for some of us ![]() Google have finally revealed what percentages of revenue Adsense customers get in the revenues earned. AdSense customers are publishers who run "Ads by Google" ads on their pages as well as those who use a custom Google search box on their site and run search-related ads. Those in the first category--AdSense for content--receive 68 percent of the revenue that Google earns for selling those ads, while AdSense for search customers get 51 percent of that revenue, the company revealed for the first time - ...the full CNET article here. Not that it makes much difference but it's good to know what the percentage is instead of always wondering.. ..or is it just me! ![]() seo 24th May 2010 9:24 PM Mark, Debs Without stating the obvious do your research before choosing. There are a lot of cowboys out there ![]() Make sure you've decided on what your realistic goals are and what you hope to achieve. Remember that SEO is not a quick short term fix. It is something that does take time and is an ongoing process. It will still require investment of your time and I would advise that you do not want somebody who is going to come in and suggest lots of changes and disappear again - as that will only achieve a short term gain (if your lucky). SEO is best tweaked over time to achieve good results. Be wary of anybody claiming to get you a No.1 spot on the first page of Google. ![]() Finally, make sure it is clear what you want from them and what they will provide? Remember reports (which you should receive) need not be long (as you don't need waffle) but they do need to be meaningful. Also, make sure they are personalized to you and your needs. That'll do for starters... ![]() If you want more details feel free to give me a call, or email me - details on my web site. Or of course, you can PM... Whatever you decide good luck. How does my swimming pool work? 21st May 2010 9:15 PM Excellent, well done Mark. Remember it's an ongoing task ![]() |
