Thanks for helping me with what i did not think was a problem, but with your guidance i can now see why what i thought was happening wasn`t. This conversation makes sense to us, if not to anyone else.
I hope it all works now that you have pointed things out to me and explained it in great detail.
I have a basic understanding now and have altered all of the sites accordingly.

Thanks again for you unexpected help.

Glad I could help a little:

I offered Steve help with his signature on the forum and explained the benefits of a correct title page for a website.

Steve looking at the first site in you signature it appears to changing the title when it loads, when you first click the site it still gives the domain name which it finds from the site html.

<title>wetreatblackmould.co.uk</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; ch****t=utf-8" />
<meta content="" name="description" />
<meta content="" name="keywords" />

But the site when clicked after 1 or 2 seconds the changes the title tag to the words you have set for black mould etc.

Having looked at your website since our conversation I think that a wordpress website would be the way forward, this would give you greater control and is very easy to work with and the search engines love wordpress sites!

You have the hosting already for the websites and most hosting these days have wordpress self install function.

I would be happy to talk it through with you and set it up etc (no charge) as it only takes a few minutes to set up.

My coding is not 100% but I think that the title tag issue on this website could be seen as cloaking

Hi Tomsk
it does it on this link as well 30 Flat Pack Mole Traps For Sale - The Hunting Life however i find that it stays on the domain name for it has 2 be done some of the time as well. my fumigation tab is ok for some reason and they are only copied and pasted. also they worked ok yesterday when i checked them.
Help is always welcome, however i have taken the programme out that we used the other day.

Steve hows the changes coming along on the website - have you managed to change everything?

tomsk

Hi Tomsk
I have been running around like a headless chuck this week, i have changed all of the signatures as we discussed, some of the forums etc it would work on some would not but that is the forums not the changes we made.
one of the links even on here does not work as we wanted but i am grateful for the bits that do.
Thanks again

Steve

Steve

Some forums use BB code for signatures so you will need a slightly different version to the one used here.

Try:

["url=http://www.mylocalforums.com]Business Forum[/url"] changing the info to suit your site

Remove the " on both brackets above to get it to look like Business Forum

Which link here does not work correctly here?

tomsk

Steve don't want to look like a stalker but looks like sites are on the move upwards.

Aircraft fumigation

Pest control Burton on Trent

Yes Tomsk i thought that by the number of contacts that have been made to me directly from my sites.
I am in the throes of building a brand new site with a dedicated web building programme that i am waiting to be delivered, and as it has free hosting for 18 months i have taken advantage of it. however i have to keep going back to my old sites to look how it is done. Your help was well rec and no i dont think you are a stalker, i am happy to take on board any comments and help that a dummy like me can follow. all i need to find before i go live with my new site is the best jeywords etc for the pest control side to the business, i have a need to be found quickly as i am going to dedicate the site specifically to pests. and as we are moving from Swadlincote hopefully, i will need to change a few minor details on locality.

thanks again for your help.

Steve as I mentioned before wordpress is the way forward for people like yourself who want control of their sites but do not have in depth knowledge on website design.
