Hi, I need a reliable and highly skilled php coder who can build from scratch to cater for my website clients. Their needs aren't always answered by off the shelf packages so custom builds are the norm. My expertise is in graphics so the style, layout and artwork will be done here in-house.
I have a major project on hold right now (Sept 2010) waiting for the right coder to be found. You would work independently of my set up as a sub contractor. Requirements: reliability, A1 technical skills, fair pricing, availability and commitment. If the right person is found there will be many more projects coming in. I have to turn work away at the moment!

Can recommend www.perrins.com a fellow Brummie, PHP and MySQL guru.

Maybe not the cheapest, but old school professional and is our outsourced developer who wrote and supports MLS.

If you do touch base, tell him Steve sent ya! Maybe he'll knock a fiver off our next release...

Best two I know are http://www.randomtemplate.com/ and Web Development + Design in Jersey and Hampshire - Mattched IT

Hi Guys
Thanks for taking the time for those recommendations, I'll definitely get in touch with them and let you know how things progress. There's no better guide than through actual working experience so I really appreciate the pointers. Despite the doom mongers there's still plenty of work out there if only you can assemble the right team with the right attitude and skills.

cheers, Paul: artworks-unlimited
