UK shoe maker and retailer Jimmy Choo has been bought from TowerBrook Capital Partners by luxury goods group Labelux.

The size of the deal, which should be completed in June, has not been disclosed.

I would say its the brand. Yea, the shoes are amazing. I just don't think that so many women can only dream of shoes like that, or even wearing a brand like that

From where I am, you cannot get a single Jimmy Choo let alone clothing from places like Versache etc.

I wonder what they are going to do with the brand once the sale is completed. Do you think they will still sell Jimmy Choo's?

Can't see Jimmy Choos going anywhere, that's what they've bought, the name.

Mind you, thought it was Chinese takeaway chain till I got married

they just sell the brand name, otherwise the same piece can be acquired from any local store by paying half.
