We are initial planning to start a new online startup company.
We are a bit confused as to where to register the company, and how would the bank account will be setup, merchant account etc.
We were thinking for Delaware - USA.
I understand we require EIN for opening bank account?
However, we are not residents in USA, we currently residing in Dubai and Qatar.
We also were thinking to register company in Isle of Man / UK. I see lots of formation companies assist on this.. the question arises regarding the opening of company bank account, and merchant account
The reason we chose USA and UK, is due to more world-wide clienteles prefer to deal with companies in USA or Europe..
It is important for us to have facility to accept online payment through credit/debit card.
Can someone please assist us, has anyone who has established a company already in what position we are currently
I would appreciate some advises and tips please.

Hi there Understand what your trying to do, but if your venture is online, can't you just use a Dubai bank, merchant account etc? You would still be able to take payments in Sterling or Dollars? Likewise Paypal can take payments from most nationalities? If you set up a UK company, won't you be liable for UK tax, VAT etc? We run a site across the US, which is only aimed at a US audience, but are based in the UK, assumed you could do the same?
I am analyzing this point.. Your points are truly factual.. However if say we register a company in Delaware, and register trademark under that company, so does it incurs any problem.. The reason we wanted to register company in UK was that people are most satisfied especially europeans or americans, if company is registered in europe or USA itself.. What do you think..? I surely agree your point about the UK tax, and surely it will eat up the income.. “The site you are focusing for USA, are you taking payments also.. do you have company setup in UK or working as sole person, and have account under personal name ?” We are a UK Limited company, but receive online payments from the US. |
