Poor old Sony, they are getting hammered on the PR front, ongoing heavy losses, the end of the Sony Ericsson marriage, the TV Division loses $2.2bn, and recent hacker exploits on their playstation network. I'll bet they'll want to forget 2011..

But as everyone including techcrunch writes them off a fallen giant:

There are some positive articles out there.

The good old Vio laptop is still seen as a good bit of kit, and the Playstation seems to have recovered, with sales on the increase.

I'll bet they'll wish everyone still had a Sony Walkman instead of an iPod, maybe this could be the future?

Oh to be at the mercy of a fickle customer base as the latest and greatest gadget comes out!

Actually Sony is not focusing on innovation. It makes copy of other brands but no creativity in itself. It is providing good sound quality and resolution but these are basics that every company is doing. So, it can bounce back only if it brings a great change or innovate any different, unique or catchy feature in it.
