News Corporation plans a reputation saving strategy

It's always great watching the trials and tribulation of major international companies.

No doubt News Corporation wrong doings and shenanigans have made headlines around the world in recent months. But in an act of extreme reputation management, they are now proposing to split the group into 2 businesses, separating the scandal ridden newspaper publishing arm and protecting the lucrative TV business.

It must be amazing to control such a huge business empire, but can you imagine the stress, hassle and grief that goes with it!

That said, Mr Murdoch senior seems to do alright, although he does look about 120 years old (maybe he is?)

Damage Control. If they split the two, then if one goes down, the other still makes money, kinda thing. The joys of big business and the things people do to make money and keep making more.

I don't see them doing anything less than this though, better to lose one small piece of pie than the whole thing.
