Dreamraven, you are right many SEOs (and stuff) do speculate with this kind of service, however if you use social networks "the normal way" this tool can be a great addition. For example, while you are interacting with people, you know your latest blog article will be published automatically.

Exactly. But there has to be balance between links and communication and while software like this can seriously help, if you're not going to actively take part, the plot is lost and your twitter / other social network feed just becomes one long list of links. I guess I'm more of a reputation management marketer, and less of an SEO'er, but to be honest, if I'm put off by constant links, then the regular people that you're trying to convert into clients are also going to be put off.

I guess I would to back to social networking at some point, but until SEO'ers stop trying to turn them into SEO's house of Spam and Self Promo, social networking holds no real merit for me.

Thanks,

Social networks are a good idea, but I agree some people calling themselves "SEO / Marketing Experts" abuse them. Every serious marketing manager will be eager to put on more efforts in order to attract clients, rather than hiring a SEO on fiver to build thousands of links

LOL my finger tips went cold when you said that. the ominous fiverr. I have seen people advertise the most amazing services. All come with one price though - the price of losing your site.

At the same time I have seen many threads where members of a forum have been complaining about the damage done by these marketers that build links for them. Somehow "You get what you pay for" seems to turn into "I told you so".

If you seriously want to market on a social network like twitter, then interact. mix it up and build a "friend base", where you regularly talk to the people in your feeds. That way it works like a double whammy. you get to add links to updated posts and new products etc. but you still get to show the visitors that followed the social network link from your site that you are in fact a "people person" and that could only mean good things in the future.
