Customer Service versus Cut Price Service 13th November 2015 12:40 PM

Customer service for me is just as important as the price you pay. You are only as good as the service you offer.

Yes there is always going to be someone that undercuts you, but will they offer the same service? Will the coach be clean? Will it be driven professionally? All important points for the customer to bear in mind.

Of course there will be occasions where the customer wants a cheap basic service and unless you want to offer that service or stoop to that level i would let the job got to your competitor IMHO

Paypal Christmas advert causes outrage 2nd November 2015 12:38 PM

Im not sure if i'm missing the point, but where does the advert say Santa doesn't exist?

The ad shows parents online shopping and the boy's saying they don't know if they are getting any presents - where is santa mentioned?

Anyway - what do you mean Santa isn't real

I have to say I did to.. Plus don't say much about their security . I do wonder if there will be a mass movement away from them”

People are trying i've been reading, only problem is they are being held to their original contracts, so yes you can leave but you have to pay to break away -  Not a great move by TalkTalk IMHO

Potential con/scam ! 28th October 2015 9:18 AM
Yeah I knew they were premium numbers but it is still easy to get caught out as you sometimes don't think of that when calling back .. This evening I had a dodgy Indian call about my PC being full of errors ,I just put the phone down lol”

That con still going? Thought it may have died off by now.

Mind you i had an email the other day to my Hotmail account - would i like to have 10million dollars in my account and i could keep 2million of it if i sent them my details .......

Well that put a smile on my face this morning

Of course you do realise that you are the 400th person he told that to

Potential con/scam ! 26th October 2015 1:46 PM

Received this email earlier -

Hi,

I'm chasing up on a previous request for a member of your business to contact us if possible?

We have been wanting to get some quotes for services provided please.

The best number for me today is the mobile as I am in and out of the office 07011772190

If for any reason I am not available when you call, please do leave a voicemail and I will call you back.

Thanks,

Jason Cartwright
RRS Testing

The thing is we never had a previous email. Quick Google search, no company by the name of RRS Testing.

Also interesting fact is its displaying a 070 number - how many of you knew that this is a premium rate number?

Calls can cost up to £1.50 a minute and in fact they have been used to con people to call them only to have either garbled messages or someone answers and pretends not to hear you properly meaning you call for a second time costing another £1.50 !!!

Be aware of this nasty trick or be prepared for an expensive phone bill !

I set up a new account with Halifax when i separated from the ex wife, some 10 years ago now.

I get £5 a month for being with them. I think i can get a bit of interest if i join Santandar. But Steve had a bitter experience with them and it turned into a nightmare so i'm steering clear !!

As is always the same in my life i have had issues with Halifax but to be fair, once they actually listen to the problem, accept that they have messed up and paid an amount of compensation my account seems to run fairly smoothly.

They have (imho) a great online platform so why would i move?

Have you put your heating on yet? 19th October 2015 2:01 PM

Thats brilliant

Will be ordering 2 as Julie & daughter are away at the moment and no doubt will feel the cold on their return which means me sitting in 25 degree heat in the lounge

Have you put your heating on yet? 16th October 2015 3:51 PM

Intermittently - yes i have.

Tend to have it on more when i have my lads staying with me, or if t'other half is about.

That being said - can i ask a general question.

Do you wear more clothes indoors before the heating is put on?

I normally wear sweat shirts/jumpers before i put my heating on - t'other half and her daughter wear thin short sleeve tops and them moan they are cold so crank up the heating.

Just me that finds this odd

Do you make these spelling errors? 14th October 2015 10:38 AM
