Watched an article on the News the other night ...

If you buy raw fish/meat you will not get charged for the bag UNLESS you buy a product eg a bag of pasta, then you need to pay for the bag.

What a load of rubbish !

Why not just say it applies to every purchase and just get people used to taking their own bags in or accept the 5p charge 

No idea what the best plan is.

All i know is that my car is affected. Am awaiting the letter for next move.

Did read in the tabloids last week that one idea they were looking at was to buy the affected cars back. Tried working out how much that would cost - i'd never seen so many zero's

Take an average of say £25,000 per car  - times that by the 1.2million cars affected = 

£30,000,000,000 - i think thats 30 billion

Was reading an article earlier about Bill Gross. For those that don't know him (me included) he used to run a Wall Street company called Pimco.

But the short version is - He is suing them for $200 million after he was allegedly forced out of the company he set up so younger executives could get his share of a dividend bonus pool of $1.3bn

All sounds a bit harsh until you realise that Bill himself is worth $2.3bn

The chap is 73 and is effectively squabbling over 8% of his net worth.

How do you spend 2300 million dollars?
