5p bag charge, isn't it great news? 7th October 2015 9:56 AM
sort of ,lol ... But it is sexism and discriminates against the men ;) .. A women can easily hide a plastic bag in her purse .... Where the heck do men put it , I already have a mobile phone and keys in 1 wallet in the other lol

Are we over working the problem here? Do you not just carry the empty bag in and stick it in either the trolley or basket for use at the end?

I can't talk though - as i said above i never remember to take bags with me, yet i have around 100 bags in 2 other shopping bags in a cupboard at home.

I'd put those in the boot if only i remembered that they were there

Didn't see this, but am aware do what he did and totally disagree with his actions.

I have long been a supporter of an ID card. I have nothing to hide.

Like Steve my phone conversations aren't that interesting between me, my kids and fiancee so if they can really listen in, well I'm sure they'd be bored.

I would much rather live in a place where these things and checks are carried out than worrying about my personal security.

The only people that will object to this IMHO will be those either ignorant of the dangers MI5 protect us from or have something to hide.

5p bag charge, isn't it great news? 6th October 2015 2:07 PM

I went shopping last night, supposedly for cat food and a loaf of bread.

£45 later i realised i hadn't got any bags so bought 2 x "bag for life" at 5p each. These will be replaced once/when they become unusable.

Not sure if i will remember to take these bags back, at 5p a pop its not like its costing me a fortune to buy 2 or 3 each time i go shopping.

Is that the wrong attitude

I shall send you my chest infection and vomiting bug in the post as a reward!

My typo isn't on my website....

Lol fair play.

If we are swapping ailments can I send you my scar from the mole removing procedure? - its driving me insane  not as bad as it was but its still pulling & itching!

Microsoft email campaign - fail 6th October 2015 10:18 AM

I nearly deleted the above email thinking it was spam !

Sent it to Steve purely by chance, ok it was an auto renew notification but it could have been something more serious and we could have ended up not being covered !

What an amazing 10/15 minute display. Really sad to know I'm not going to see that wonderful plane in the sky again.

Bit of a family day out, Steve with his girls, me with my lads all looking skywards at the Vulcan. Steve had already prepped the girls saying, remember Daddy wants to record the plane so please be quiet. Both nod and agree

The Vulcan literally swoops over head, girls with fingers in ears, Steve, my boys and myself snapping away when Steve's youngest pipes up -

"Daddy, why is she so loud?"
"'coz she is a bomber" Steve replies
"Hmm " she ponders "Is she so loud so she scares away the bad people?"
"Yes darling"

That has to be the quote of the year - out of the mouth of a 4 year old !

You might want to change this typo sooner rather that later?

Sinkholes freak me out! 5th October 2015 12:10 PM

Wasn't so ridiculous at 10pm Saturday night on returning home. I was considering all sorts of options to get the car off before i thought about ringing the contractor that had kindly left their number on their railings.

Should have seen the bemused face of the manager that came out on the Sunday

" err how the hell did that happen" he said, "didnt they knock your door before they dug it up?"

After explaining i'd been away for a week in my car and that Julie was due in St Albans 8am the next day, they did a temporary fill of the hole to get the car off.

To be fair they could not have been more helpful or apologetic.

Hey Barney

Good to see you back on here.

Not going to say much else as just going to echo the above really.

Best of luck though
