Out of Office - on your website? 26th August 2014 2:44 PM

Seen that trick used in emails quite a few times - it actually gets annoying now when i see them.

Not sure i agree with a website using an out of office but i certainly use mine for holidays or days im in meetings.

Hows this for a vehicle livery! 26th August 2014 2:37 PM

Thats really clever

Brilliant Jan

Hope grandad is used to wireless devices though !!! Lmao

Some voluntary excesses now are becoming compulsory - i always said if you arent saving the majority of a premium excess then dont have it - why pay £6 - £10 less to increase your excess by £75-£100?

As it was my job for such a long time i always shop around, sometimes i save money, sometimes i dont - still well worth the exercise though.

Always read the small print and ALWAYS ALWAYS check the excesses - some are getting clever at increasing them and whilst its in the small print they make little effort to tell you they are there!

Bank Holiday season again... 26th August 2014 12:43 PM

Bloody caravans !!!

After a lovely break in Corfu, decided to nip to Wales for a few days to finish off my well earned holiday - weather was fair, not brilliant but great time still had, until .....

Having a great drive home late Sunday night, not to much traffic about until about 30 miles West of Welshpool, bloody caravan doing 35mph on a 60mph Road - around 20 cars following it, all nose to tail!! Arrgh - with a bit of careful manoeuvring managed to get around everyone & the caravan and carried on my journey without further incident until about 5 miles away from the A5 when again another caravan and a trail of fed up motorists behind it....

Gave up and followed that one - as A5 is dual carriageway waited until we got to that then flew passed said caravan.

Those things should be banned from the roads between 06:00 through to 22:00hrs

I think they do have an odourless version too - that wouldn't bother me except don't they emit nicotine too? That i do have a problem with!

Should killers get whole life tariffs? 26th August 2014 12:26 PM
At current prices it would cost 1.5 million pounds to keep a prisoner for 30 years. With inflation that rises to about 2.6. Million.

The cost of a bullet, less than £1.

Does that make it easier to decide? Real Justice should not be decided on cost. If you were accused of a crime I am sure you would want your day in court, no matter what the cost. Trouble is the courts are jammed full of time wasters, people who are guilty and who should be put through fast track courts systems, go directly to jail, do not pass go and do not collect £200.

Would that work? No, but it would keep the media happy.

Heckles start to rise - but first day back after a lovely 2 week break, so all is good

You cannot put cost before a fair Trial, nor can you just put someone down because of the expense, but still think that a long term prisoner could and should give something back to the Community via unpaid work/labour of some sort.

Yes of course thats going to be a nightmare to manage and yes i do have visions of a chain gang breaking rocks somewhere , but surely its plausible to have them "earning" their keep somehow?

when is the actual vote?”

It all kicks off on 18/9/14

My My how cynical are we??

I dont think the future King needs a PR machine, however I'm sure its welcomed PR for the Air Ambulance.
