Aw sounds like she's making the best of it though.

It is hard to police. It just kinda got me that they knew about it and intentionally left it there. I'm the kind of person that gets rid of it the moment I lay eyes on stuff like that, but just like everyone, I can't always see it as it happens.

I guess it leaves me with one question. Will you wait until you get a takedown note? Or would you take a closer look at your content more often, especially if you know that you have others writing for you.

I've passed this along to one other forum, after reading it on one lol. But its too good to pass up, so I am sharing it here as well.

Youtube recently lost a battle with Viacom. Members using their services were posting copyrighted content on the site and Youtube left it on their servers knowing full well that the content was illegal.

SiteProNews

Its an interesting read, and a bit of an eye opener when it comes to dealing with copyright infringement. How fast should something like that be removed from a site.

(forgiveness if its in the wrong section, but the ambiguity of the subject made it hard to place).
Ah no. Thats the worst thing. Everything itches so badly. My youngest has had nothing yet (touch wood). My eldest has only had chickenpox and to be honest the only thing that helped was calamine lotion and gloves. The lotion calmed the itch and the gloves limited damage from any scratching. I hope she feels better soon . And welcome back
lol you'll have to define "on" a bit. I have a fb and twitter page for the company, but I also have a LinkedIn one too. They are there, but with the time we have to spend on them, I hardly ever get the chance to go there, but my blog posts are regularly updated, so they aren't stagnant.
what you like to do after working? 11th June 2012 6:34 AM
It depends on my mood, I guess. Most times I am busy creating, recoloring objects for sims 2. Its a hobby of mine that I spend entirely too much time on, but I love making new things for the game. Other than that, I watch movies, play chess, read or sleep.
Yes...

Classified ads, business directories and social network sites are good for advertising the site through online..

Which do you use? Or do you use all of them? SCentral was looking for advice on what they could use.
Internet monitoring - yes or no? 5th June 2012 9:08 AM
Hello
I think that the internet monitoring is necessary. Because with the help of this we can remove the spamming content from our forum website

Hmmm, I'm not sure that would really help much. Most times people that do things like these would be encouraged to do so by the company they work for. (not all, before my head is chewed off ), I think maybe those that use their actual jobs to do this as a means of extra income, monitoring would be good for that reason.

I will update if I find any more.
yes, but there is a huge difference between marketing and flooding social networks with nothing but hard sell. I remember testing a twitter list once. People don't want to communicate, they don't want to do anything but get as many links through as they can. I have cut away at my list, taking the ones that are only there for self promo out, and now I have only those I actually talk to on a daily basis (besides a few that I have not had the time to get to yet.), my friends from forums etc.and somehow that seems a lot better than having a massive following where there is absolutely no interaction at all.

It might be a bit of a rant, but social networks are a put off for me for now. Marketing itself has taken a wrong turn somewhere as well (for some). Think about it though, marketing is meant to be a one on one with your selected target market, where you promote, discuss and show people why your product is better than anyone else in the same sector as you are. Its interaction, window dressing a product to show all its good points, and then making a sale to a client that you know will come back and/or refer other people based on their experiences with you and your product.

What I see mostly now days, is that some marketers really don't give a hoot about who they are targeting, as long as they get that link in. TBH, for some marketing is nothing but SEO, trying to get a site ranked above and beyond anything else. They focus on clients afterwards. Which is wrong, because at the end of the day, after spending all that time making sure their site gets to page one, their site is not made for clients, and visitors move onto the next person down the list. Then they turn to social media and blast link after link thinking that is the solution to the problem, they turn to forums, and everyone (well not everyone, but a heck of a lot) tell them the same thing. SMM, Forum posting, guest blogging, blog commenting....

Interaction is their last concern and to me that's just wrong.
