Nokia sells out to Microsoft 6th September 2013 1:45 PM
It's sad to read that. Nokia is a well known company with some great products. My first cellphone was nokia, the batteries lasted for weeks and the menu was so easy and logically structured, I loved it very much.
Frankly, I don't think Nokia really needed this, microsoft has had hard times lately with their products so they really needed a great brand to hold on to.
Hi,

Lately my team and I decided to deepen our knowledge and share our point of views by debating and brainstorming on different topics about seo, technology, search engines and other interesting debatable subjects. Our first topic was about: is seo dead or alive? It was quite fun, everybody enjoyed it.
Can you suggest some topics for our next friday talks?
What would you be interested about?

Of course I've asked my teammates to suggest topics as well, but I would also like to know what seo newbies or experts are interested in?
oh, no I'm fed up with them. , I don't want to see any adverts, especially not in front of my nose. When I saw the first articles about g.'s new product I was amazed that no ads were shown on it. I hoped it will remain ad free .
Where to get someone to build me a script 4th September 2013 12:04 PM
Hm.. this is in fact a database search tool that allows you to search for these keywords: ("cash on collection", "buyer must collect", "collection only", "no postage", "pick up only", "unable to post", "needs to be collected", "Collection in Person only", "can't post"
I assume you will have to acquire a full Great Britain postcode database and some space on your computer to store the information. The script isn't so hard to write you could hire a freelancer to do this.
Other than that you will need a good connection between you and the affiliate site's servers, so if the query is sent the server shall respond properly.
And probably an sql database handler for the future Are you prepared for this?

This is how I see things, but let's wait the gurus talk
Lead Generation Ideas 4th September 2013 10:06 AM
Of course joining blogs, forums might be a good way to introduce yourself, but I think there is nothing better than building up your brand reputation. Show it to the larger community.
For instance, if you are an seo company: Plan a relatively big event that would last for 3-4 days. An event that would be highly beneficial for most people in your niche. Like an seo conference for learning purposes. Invite a few well known speakers who would also be willing to advertise your event by writing about it or just sharing it on their social media profiles. Advertise your event on your own website (or build one just for this event), social media profiles, blogs, send invitations by e-mail, FB event planner...etc for big companies as well for little ones. If the conference goes out well then a lot of people will know about your brand, they will come back to you and talk about you. You can ensure word of mouth referrals, building relationships. This can generate lots of leads.
Be it a food trade, clothing store, car dealer or hairdresser you may invest in charitable associations as well. Like giving a larger quantity of apple for the orphans's meal . Or donating a car for an elderly nursing home ... and so on

Thomson Local has gone bust!!!!! 30th August 2013 12:35 PM
How sad
If a huge company like them goes into administration, what can the little ones expect? How can they survive?
Did you mean something like this?

<a href="http://www.mylocalforums.com/">Forum</a>

Practically the word 'Forum' will become a clickable word, that will lead users to the specific link, in our case: mylocalforums.com
Everyone loves promotions and offers. Use the 1+1 method. If they want to buy two products offer the cheap one for free or 50% cheaper.
If you are planning to offer something like this in the near future then you might acquire some frugal and thrifty minded clients
And if they get engaged with your business then they will spread the word. You might even appear in their blogs, comments on social shares, usually these kind of people have their own circle so if one of them finds something at a good price s/he will tell the others as well.
