It's been a tough month for us - the poor weather hasn't helped, of course. We always find trading is more of a challenge when there's a big event on and we haven't found an effective way to combat it. Hopefully the run up to Christmas will be ok.

Even though we've got our wee gift shop, I'm absolutely the world's worst at planning for Christmas - I hate Christmas shopping and I have to argue with myself to make any headway with buying for the shop. I'd be completely delighted if you'd all inspire me! Hubby would do handstands to say thank you for getting me motivated, LOL

No names, no pack drill - I have just been told about an MD, taken on the help with pressure of work, who has totally messed things up for a company down south. Invoices not paid, he tried to destroy the company website, has ordered goods ........... ok, you get the idea I think you need to really check out someone who is no doubt getting a very nice contract. Recruiting from within the company sometimes seems to be a better option than bringing in a stranger.

There's another reason - if you see your competitors using it, you've gotta give it a go as well - I know 'cos I fall into that trap more often than I'd care to admit
