We could start doing a type of thread looking for the generosity of the 'My local' businesses for local charity or funraising campains..

A bit like 'The Big Build' Nick Knowles

Raise the Roof our school is in need of some generous people to help with the Hydrotherapy centre -

I tell you what is more annoying than twitter, people using FB, Linkedin and the others like twitter.. short sharp irrelevant messages. (how many characters was that *counting*)
The printer that I use is a local man.

He actually lives walking distance from my house. His home/office is a kind of convert, it's just off the main street and he has it set out front of house a bit like a shop if you like and he lives above and behind.

He has mass storage area in his extension at the side of the house and I imagine a lot of his printing etc as the shop part of his house is virtually just a reception with sitting and a few computers for copy and design, his garden is just a drive and he has a business plaque on the wall of the house.

Apart from the odd person I think it's rare for him to get people being onsite while I'm there anyway.
Anyone using Klout? 25th January 2012 8:10 PM
Indirectly via Hoot suite I discovered my Klout is 28, whatever that means.. My Klout.. sounds rude, I definately would feel a little uncomfortable asking a lady about her Klout rating..

I don't mean to sound priggish but the name really is irrelevant.

People pay for quality and value, and if the value and quality is top, the price a person is willing to pay is higher than the average. A name does not guarentee any of these qualities.

What came first the chicken or the egg?

Any Doctor Who Fans Here? 24th January 2012 12:02 PM
I'm also of the Baker/Davison era of watching.
I liked the re-launch with the Eccleston/Tennant I have to admit I'm not watching it now, I think it's lost something.

The concept of the show is pretty mind blowing, not sure if I'd prefer a Tardis or the Delorean from Back to the Future..
"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the The A Team."
