I love this post Steve. It's so true that if we are in fire fighting mode it's impossible to be creative and innovative, which is what is needed to get through a crisis. I seem to be flying up and down the pyramid if I'm honest. But I still have clients and revenue so I'm pushing forward and actually spending as a business as I think the money money pushed around by those that can, the better.

The future isn't certain in many ways, but there will be a future and we all need to plan so that our business will be a part of it.

Good news thread! 21st April 2020 9:07 AM

That's brilliant! Go him. I do PE with Joe Wicks every morning and that's raised nearly £92k in advertising revenue for the NHS, which is amazing.

Good news thread! 17th April 2020 2:28 PM

So I thought it would be great to have a thread of good news as we all need it, whether it's personal or national.

I'm sure you all saw Captain Tom and his incredible 100 laps of his garden with his walking frame to celebrate his 100th birthday. He raised in excess of £15 million and it's still going up. AMAZING!

A lady of 106 was released from hospital after beating the virus Covid-19. Incredible.

On a personal level my business has its biggest month in March, and I think it's important to note that people are still spending and there is money out there. Don't give up.

Have you got any good news to share?

Totally right, sadly these type of situations bring out the absolute best in some and the worst in others. Don't lose your common sense.

I have to admit I hate these things anyway. I hate all chain messages, they're as bad as the age old chain letters that people would send! Threatening terrible bad luck if you didn't participate.

US versus UK Press Briefing 15th April 2020 1:55 PM

The US briefing is a comedy show at best. My husband watches it every night just for fun. I don't watch them as I'm avoiding news for the most part, but it seems pretty sensible and measured. Whether you believe all the figures etc is up for debate, as there way deaths are measured differs from country to country and infection rate is meaningless when they're not testing the general public unless you're in hospital. But I'm not convinced there's any big conspiracy. Plenty of spin and plenty of making it up as they go along.

6 x likely not to get corona 15th April 2020 12:46 PM
Thought the BCG was the 6 needle injection into the wrist and a month later a jab in the arm....that left a hole after a week or 2..... nowt wrong with the DM.... just imagine the state we’d be in now if comrade Corbyn running the show....”

Stop trying to wind me up.... Instead we have Boris who allegedly exaggerated his illness so he can arise like some sort of bloated phoenix from the flames. But at least it's not Trump!

Agreed. The figures are all pie in the sky at this stage, even more so in developing countries. We're still not testing anyone in the UK apart from ill people in hospital and healthcare workers and maybe now people in care homes. Loads of us may have already had it as well. Impossible to tell yet. We know one thing, it's very contagious, so I can't see any country where people mix a lot getting away without a lot of deaths. Unless the lockdown was very early and totally adhered to. New Zealand appears to be an example of that so far.

I had to stop drinking rum. It made me go a bit crazy. Haha. Stick to vodka now.
