Fine, get your client to contact via this forum, then I'll give it to them.

Ideally it should go to someone who is just starting out, not an SEO or website design company, as I think they could use it.

Anyway, first 2 pm get's it.

I have another one in my somewhere, I will post it up when I find it.
I did check that out after I posted. I don't think it's a very active site. I posted comments the last time I checked it still wasn't published. I also find there is obvious way (published) to contact them.

I genuinely think they got a good things there, either it's brand new, or it hasn't taken off. But I know this would appeal to me more than the likes of Facebook...that's not me saying I am grumpty it's just the conversation seems to have a bit more substance and it's not full of teenage kids.
I just had a browse around. This looks like a really interesting site. Something with a bit more substance. Is it a US creation? Who's behind it? Anyone know?
It would be good for Google to have some serious competition. But I hate the thought of optimising for Facebook.
Do you read flyers through the post? 20th November 2010 8:27 PM
I can tell you I have looked at flyers that have come to my home and office. Sometimes I will save it if I think I may need the service at some point. I have also taken up service through that way.

I am not saying it works all the time. However, it needs to be good, and eye catching, to grab my attention.
Does a Newsletter work? 19th November 2010 10:26 PM
Yes, I would have to re-interate what the others say. Plus I would add that in some areas it helps if you have a well known name or brand that gives you credibility as a source of information. Alternatively if write witty blogs posts.

Offers do help, but I end up getting fed up some of them as they bombard you. However, I have signed up on a few occasions when I have seen offers.

I realised that I never read the RSS feeds of newsletters that I have subscribed to, but if I feel that a website is a good source of information, then I will bookmark it and I have been known to go back to browse through the latest info.

You will probably find that most have sites. However, if an additional site generated enquiries at reasonable cost, then most small businesses would not turn it down. So that might be a good angle.

If I was in the market, I would not be comfortable renting websites. If your site had good stable ranking then I would consider buying it. However, there loads of people out there who will rent.

My view is that it is unlikely you will get someone dedicated to just selling your product. What you want to do is partner up with companies like (I am not suggesting me), who mainly deal with the b2b environment, so it's something they can slip in the discussions of the existing sales process. For example, I am meeting an medium sized accountancy recruitment company in couple of weeks, now if you had a site that ranked well for accountancy, it would not be difficult to have a conversation about that with the MD. However, like anything in life, it boils down to money. Is it going to be worthwhile for them?

You need to give the "possible sales people" a good idea of the average transaction value and what they could make. I have very limited knowledge of the website rental market, so I don't know if it's worth

I know someone else who does this. I am just curious, how many you have sold or rented out so far?
