Student Survey - QR Codes 14th March 2011 12:31 PM
Good morning, Peter.

1. Yes, I have seen QR codes.
2. We are using QR codes in direct mail.
3. QR codes are beneficial, as they give busy readers a speedy option to view a web page.
4. QR codes can now be read by many mobiles, not just smartphones. It would only be an issue if you didn't include normal methods of contact as well.

Happy to help, apart from question 5.

A Touching Biker Story 4th March 2011 10:30 AM
A tough looking group of bikers were riding when they saw a girl about to jump off a bridge so they stop.

The leader, a big burly man, gets off his bike and says, "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to commit suicide," she says.

While he did not want to appear insensitive, he didn't want to miss an opportunity he asked "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a Kiss?"

So, she does and it was a long, deep lingering kiss.

After she's finished, the biker says, "Wow! That was the best Kiss I have ever had. That's a real talent you are wasting. You could be famous. Why are you committing suicide?"

"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl......"

Good morning, Mirelle.

Music is a very big part of my life, and I totally agree with what you say in your post.

During my working day, I leave my radio tuned to Radio 1. The rest of the time, especially while I'm driving, I listen to my ipod. On my drive home last night, I rocked out to "Squander" by Skunk Anansie , and "Sweet Dreams" by Marilyn Manson.

Saying that, I also have some Philip Glass on my ipod. What Celtic music would you recommend?
erm whoops that was me!

There were loads of linkbacks awaiting moderation, so had a good clean out this morning. Didn't realise it actually notified anybody

Apologies

OK, glad that's been answered!

Absolutely no idea how to use QR codes for our business.

There are plenty of articles like this, to show you that there is no limit to the ways in which QR codes can boost your marketing.

Do you use any promotional printed flyers, etc? You must have business cards, at least.

I'm interested to find out how many of you are familiar with QR codes.

When you see a QR code, do you know how to read it?

Do many of you have smartphones?

I'm not sure if I am allowed to include a link to our site here, but if any of you wish to find out more, we have a new article all about this very subject on our site.

The main value of mylocalforums to me is that you can ask for advice on any business issue that's bugging you at the time and get helpful answers. MLF replaces the network of colleagues you'd have if you worked in a large company.

I also like having "virtual colleagues", small business life can get lonely sometimes! I think the sense of community might be at risk if MLF got too big.

My sentiments, exactly.
