Multiple telephone numbers 16th May 2012 8:09 AM
You could use a service like this - mydivert.com

With the calls being forwarded to a regular phone number you'd pay for the second part of the call (the redirect).

If you were using VOIP phones then the divert to the VOIP phone would be free, and you'd just be paying for the DDI number/s

Thanks for your reply, i keep reading about voip phones i need to find out more and where to get them?

Has anyone got more than one telephone number. I am looking to have 3 different area codes all linked to my office phone, this is so that i can let people phone a local number to them in areas that we work now.
Hopefully to improve our business.
If anyone already does this how do we do it and at what sort of costs?

Yep from here on in anything i do over the internet or on line at all is paid by credit card, at least i have some come back.
A friend of mine had a company charge him for 6 months of advertising, paid upfront, he only got a few jobs from it and so he never renewed it as far as he was concerned.
They too took his money cos they said he never cancelled 1 month upfront and in writing, as they said he never read the small print. He could get nowt back as it was paid by debit card. needless to say he cancelled straight away.

Tucan Claims will not speak to us at all, they do not reply to emails and just send out the same letter saying they can do nothing.
We threatened them with section 75 of the cca 1974 and they still refused us a repayment.
And they told us to take it up with the bank.
We did just this and took it to our bank which is the HSBC they sorted it out, denied all knowledge of the transaction but because we paid by credit card the bank reimbursed us with the out of pocket expenses.
So all worked out fine except where Tucan Claims are concerned. As far as i am concerned i would not advise anyone to use them, they take your money and refuse to pay it back.

we thought that we had all under control and understood what we were paying for, and so we were ok as far as we thought, however several years after signing and after many phone calls from companies that say they have documents that give our details etc etc etc we started to doubt whether we had it right. these companies can be fairly persuasive.

However lesson learnt is that if you have a doubt dont listen to these companies. go by what you think you know
