Reverse Proxy With PPC 17th December 2013 11:55 PM
Its something the company who i work for offer, which is grreat when they are charging someone for PPC and wanting to prove an ROI. The proxy sites are a different URL to the customers main site but look and perform identically, the only problem being that the CTR and popularity isn't passed on to the customers main domain, but this is the price you pay for wanting to know what keywords generate calls! It really does get the most out of PPC...
Great idea, its a difficult one, but if you read the smallprint (especially JSA) they are only meant to pay it for a period of 6 months, and to get paid all people have to do is do THREE job applications per week!

Even when it comes to benefits by way of credits... My dad works overtime at any opportunity, but some of the lads who work at his place refuse overtime - because if they earn over a certain amount then it affects their benefits!!! This is half the problem, benefits are too high, and thank god we're not just paying them out for nothing now..
The thing is, from an emplyers perspective - he still gets the same value from having immigrants working for him, but probably at a cheaper rate, and with less attitude than the normal brit would give him...

its a difficult call ive got to admit, my friend runs a cctv company and he employs both polish and english, says the english lads are lazy and have an attitude whereas the polish just get on with the job!

Be interesting when we open the doors to more immigrants next year!
I've been thinking about a

I think budgetting at the start is difficult, given that as your quality score increases over time - so does your cost per click... So get stuck in to it, look after your CTR, it has a big affect on quality score... Understand how AD Rank works to make sure you are paying the right amount for the right position...

PS... Don't dip your toes, give it a real go...theres a reason google turn over SO much money... it works!

Has anyone utilized reverse proxy websites to do conversion tracking for PPC? Long way around, but apparantly you can understand which keywords generate calls if you use specific telephone numbers on each proxy site?

Feedback anyone?

I use opensiteexplorer and ahrefs - although you get more out of opensiteexplorer if you're not willing to pay...

Really important to use a quality one to understand what your competitors are doing
interesting reading about people promoting unique high quality content, saying it is most important - u disagree - link building is still very strong - if links are generated from high PR websites.

There are some very high PR forums which you can generate links from, article websites, using anchor text... Don't always use rich keyword anchor text, try looking for contextual links - these look more natural to google.

Blog commenting, there is a possibility to get links from .edu via blog commenting - although not as strong as they used to be.

DONT buy links, this is the main point...
SEO and SEM? 17th December 2013 10:09 PM
Interesting how SEO is labelled as 'free' ! IF I paid myself minimum wage and counted the amount of hours it spent on SEO, the number would be huge. But the only investment is time, not moeny - so correct.

Personally I like to run a bit of both, SEO I find important as - its free, but SEM offers SO much more flexibility, I can run offers, turn it on or off when I please, the analytics is much better as I can use reverse proxy to understand which of my keywords generate calls - usually I find that if I am in the PPC section AND the SEO section, I generate more from the seo section... don't know the psychology behind that!
